So much of that show is a disappointment basically because the guitars are out of tune! Midnight rambler included!

Interesting. I was able to order the George Harrison box set with the promo code. They must’ve closed it off after a bunch of people went on there and started ordering it.

Keith being tough really cracks me up. He’s always a tough guy when he’s got bouncers and bodyguards around him. And he shows people the blade! Give me a break. In the real world he would get his ass kicked. He’s a skinny short English guy and would be lucky to get a few punches in. Stick to playing guitar Keith it’s what you know best.

The vocalist is horrible. He’s a one trick pony! And needs time with a vocal coach. It’s very telling that it’s been four years since their first album and they come up with this really lackluster cookie cutter Zeppelin album.

There were some hits and misses from the show. Michael C Hall was a revelation. He was phenomenal with a fantastic emotional and poignant version of where are we now. Cory Glover did a great job too. And I was really into Charlie Sexton. He’s got a gravelly nice baritone and clearly is really into Bowie stuff. He did a phenomenal version of DJ. The misses? Billy Corgan from the smashing pumpkins

Lennon always said hard core stuff. It’s interesting the famous Rolling Stone interview he was just disparaging towards everyone and gloom and doom about everything. But if you listen to the transcripts it’s a whole different experience. He sounds like it’s tongue in cheek half the time. I think Lennon, Harrison, and Ringo all got into a mindset that colored their perceptions of the let it be ses

Quotetatters Not sure how I feel about this. Seems like an attempt to re-write history and give the Beatles story a happy ending by skillfully editing together an alternate version of the Let It Be movie using only footage that shows them appearing to be having a good time and still enjoying one another's company. If they were still getting on as well as they appear to be in this montage, wh

The Yardbirds were always in that group hung around the Crawdaddy club British blues. Really started going after the stones. ELO totally son of Beatles. The orchestral arrangements, the vocals, the harmonies, the complex production values, and Jeff Lynne.

Thanks so much for compiling the complete set of those Lennon radio spots! Fantastic. He sounds so happy and engaged and positive. Great stuff! Actually I find that is some of the most revealing interviews from him.

I should’ve wrote more clearly I didn’t necessarily mean all four Beatles playing on each track but it’s their last really cohesive album where all four participated in either playing on the track or construction of the track by adding input. Sergeant peppers lonely hearts club band is very much a McCartney driven project. And not as much collaboration between John and Paul in writing the songs o

I am a huge kinks fan. But Ray’s review reeks of jealousy. And frustration. Revolver is a brilliant statement by a band in full bloom. The last Beatles album where all four played on practically every single song on the album. She said she said being the only one that all four don’t play on. It is stunning to hear the growth on this album and compare it to their first album that was a little over

Quotelonglongwinter 200k is a lot yes but they label so many deaths with 'Covid' even if they had cancer or many other deadly illnesses. The flu and many other things cause a lot of death yearly yet we never shut down everything for them. Even the CDC just released survival rates for those infected with Covid in the US- it's 99.5% for all under 70 and 94.5% for those over 70. Y

Very sad to hear about Sharon! I really loved her posts, she was a fun and insightful fellow fan. Condolences to her family. I am here in Michigan taking care of my elderly parents and trying to keep them safe from COVID. Indian summer just ended and now the cold weather is, I fear, here to stay. . . bah humbug!

OK so I’ve been pretty critical about the goats head soup Deluxe Edition. But as a vinyl collector the stones trap keeps calling me. So have any of you guys gotten it on vinyl? How is the pressing? Mastering? And is it the same mix as a universal masters that were released?

Quotelonglongwinter How refreshing to see a famous person echo what many around the world feel. Good for him. I hope more come out and agree. Covid is way overblown by the panic porn media. Overblown? I’ll be sure to tell that to my best friend who just lost his mother. Oh and I’ll tell that to my other good friend whose father has it, Sister has it, and Son has it! Oh and maybe I’ll tell tha

It will never end. The Beatles have been broken up since 1970 and they still are top sellers and cultural icons. The stones are still a huge concert draw. years from now people will still be collecting their music and listening to it. Whole new generations of kids are getting turned on to retro music like the stones, the Beatles, the who, and zeppelin. It will continue forever.
