Quotegeorgelicks They can release a couple of singles to build the hype, a new song in December, another one in March and another single with the album release date in May/June. That's a good marketing idea because once the album is released all the hype will be gone after 2 weeks, so the release of 3 songs in advance is the way to go. If such singles were to be taken from a following a

As to the said dream setlist, my choice: All the songs of a possible coming studio album. Plus the song "Living in a Ghost Town". All the remaining songs chosen from A BIGGER BANG and BRIDGES TO BABYLON.

QuoteSend It To me They're run like a business instead of a band. Putting out new music or playing obscure material live doesn't make sense for Rolling Stones, Inc. What about art? As live band the Rolling Stones seem much in need of feedback from their audiences. That supposed fact makes the band dependent on the audiences' familiarity with the songs in the setlists. That al

QuoteStonedRambler QuoteHairball They're waiting for it to become "great" before they release it...lol......we could be here for many more years wondering and waiting for that to happen - as Mick said last year "don't hold your breath". Why waiting? They been in the studio just before this tour. For me the strategy here is clear. Creating a whole bunch of materi

Quotelem motlow Quotesteffialicia BV, I'm sorry, and this ma5 y mean I'm gone from here but Roger Waters is a JEW HATER and I find any thread concerning him highly offensive. Yes, Hairball, I suspect that is a good description of the perspectives for a possible new studio album during the remainder of the band's existence.

QuoteHairball QuoteGeirGG In my opinion the 60 tour was great for 2022, but will seem a bit daft in 2023. I think the rather cheap stage and not so good lights of this tour could be a signal that the «60» thing was just that - a one off. It would give them a chance to come up with something spectacular for the next tour. Also I don’t think they want to to do «60» til they drop/stop (hopefully lig

Quotebitusa2012 QuoteHairball Due to the writers block and/or Mick and Keiths inability to write together anymore, maybe they could record some new and updated versions of some of their early originals. Contemporary cover versions of their own tunes! Might be farfetched, but consider the writings already done...just give the tunes a facelift, and they could almost sound brand new. Probably not

My expectation: There will be a couple of vaults releases of the projected final studio album for those who survive the end of the band, plus an unknown how long period thereafter. The question is: Will iorr.org/tell me still exist by then? A much later edit: I now discover that the preceding evening jahisnotdead entered a post with a similiar idea.

QuoteMisterDDDD Gone from the band now more than half its existence. Wanted to leave while they were "on top".. Fair to say he miscalculated.. but I could see either side of that debate. If Bill wanted to leave, while they were still on top, meaning from a creativity point of view, I would say that he left two albums too late.

QuoteJustin I think some people are obsessed and still stuck with quotes and things said many years ago. Is it any wonder why Mick hates doing interviews? Everyone is still stuck on quotes about singing Satisfaction in their forties and not wanting to be a Beach Boys nostalgia act, blah blah blah. Move on. I think a part of what offends fans is that their favorite band is a nostalgia ac

QuoteNilsHolgersson QuoteVoodooLounge13 Why is it that most other musicians of the same era are able to play so many more of their newer material and the concerts are great vs. the Stones? Bruce, Neil Young, Macca, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac even all can play newer stuff with better results. The only ones who I think fall into a similar category as the Stones might be The Who, though even they p
