In regards to the 78 tour, how many shows did the Stones perform and how many of those are actually on bootlegs? I would tend to think that if Bill mentioned they played it, they probably did, since he kept journals, diaries, etc.

To be totally non bias, you can say that AC/DC's songwriting hasn't matched anything since BIB, but then how do you follow up an album like that? Conversely, have the Stones written any "classics" after Start Me Up was released? As a huge fan of both bands, I have all the AC/DC CD'S AND DVD'S as well as all of the officially released Stones CD's and DVD's

In regards to The Last Time, I know it was Brian playing the main riff. If you watch the 25x5 video, they show the Stones playing the song and you can see Brian playing the main riff. However, I don't know if he came up with the riff. I kind of think that it was probably Keith's, but he probably let Brian play it.

Perhaps Mick played the song on his solo tour in the late 80's? If that was the case then it could have been Joe Satriani playing lead.

I'm a huge AC/DC fan! I wish they wouldn't have put BIB in the Bonfire set and instead put more rare songs. I love Crabsody In Blue and Fling Thing. In concert, both Malcolm and Cliff stand next to Phil Rudd on drums. The only time they come to the front is to sing back up, then they step back next to Phil. Malcolm deserves alot of credit for AC/DC's sound, although he's

I haven't heard his song nor seen the movie, but I saw a poll in the papers recently that this current version of Alfie was rated one of the worst remakes of all time, which kind of explains why the movie did so poorly at the box office.

One of the few songs that Brian plays the main riff is on The Last Time. He plays the "choppy" sounding riffs on several songs, including Off The Hook, It's Alright, It's All Over Now as well as the slide on Little Red Rooster.

The group photo can be found in the liner notes in 40 Licks. I liked the picture the second I saw it. JKF, yes the group photo with Mick yawning was in the original Sticky Fingers album.

What's the Story is an awesome CD. When I purchased it back in 95, I only knew Wonderwall, but when I listened to the disc, I literally liked every song on it. I mentioned previously that I bought the SACD 5.1 surround version which sounds alot cleaner than the regular CD version. Also, I mentioned that the drummer looks a bit like Tim from The Office!

I first learned of 2000 Man via KISS. They recorded it on their Dynasty album in 79 with Ace Frehley doing vocals. I'm not a huge KISS fan, but I do like that version.

I have both London Records Hot Rocks 1 and 2 which I purchased in early 1986 I believe. They were released prior to the original ABKCO releases. Play With Fire and Mothers Little Helper are also both in stereo. I was surprised PWF wasn't in stereo on the recent ABKCO re-releases. I still prefer the London stereo version over the new SACD version, even though the SACD sound is crisper, it

Mick plays acoustic guitar on WOAF and LIB in 1981. If I recall the Let's Spend the Night Together video, he plays electric guitar on Just My Imagination and Miss You so I would guess that the photo is taken during one of those two songs.

Hey Demon, interesting topic. I would like to add to your list of Stones in order: Brian, Ian Stewart, Keith, Mick, etc.

The best I saw was Jonny Lang. Worst was Spin Doctors. Hey Shawn20, I would have loved to have seen the Mighty VH open in Orlando 81. As you may know, the back cover of Diver Down is taken from that show. One thing that always impressed me with that photo is that the band is taking a final bow, even as an opening act, and if you look at the crowd, alot of fans are cheering with their fists

Wild Horses - The Sundays Wild Horses - Flying Burrito Bros. Street Fighting Man - Oasis Mothers Little Helper - Tesla - A great version from their Five Man Acoustical Jam album, which I believe would be the first "unplugged" album. They also do great versions of Signs, Lodi, Truckin and We Can Work It Out. Not a huge fan of the band but I would recommend this album to anyone.
