Quotemighty stork QuoteSam4741 would be awesome if on you gotta move Mick, Keith, and Ronnie gathered around one mic and sang it like the drunken jam it was in 75/76 The only way to do it IMO. If witholding from backing vocals means keith can nail the lead and all the bending involved, i'm all for it

Quotealieb QuoteSam4741 Man if they made this the standard setlist for the tour that would be epic. Def don't see it happening though To be fair, it would be a bit slow for stadiums. We would love it but the other 99 percent would probably get bored pretty fast. True.

Quotewellalright Who here is speaking "on behalf of the fanbase"? It's just some people expressing opinions. Well by saying "this is the crap they will be remembered for" you're implying that many others feel as strongly about the twitter thing as you do, enough people to alter the bands reputation. You're absolutely entitled to feel the way you do about it, b

Quotestonehearted Undercover: A still vital and energized band sounding ageless and fearless as they seem poised to take on the eighties full tilt. Dirty Work: An angry middle age crisis is never fun to listen to on record. It never even begins to sound like a Stones album until the last track, but by then it's too late because side 2 is over and they're out of vinyl. The only rea

Quoteryanpow QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoteliddas Quoteryanpow Not a song, but I'm listening to the Tokyo 90' show and there's a little solo played between 2000 light years and STFD that sounds metalish. Ha ha. I'm assuming its Ronnie. Someone once noted it was Clifford on keyboards C The "guitar" solo between those numbers is indeed Clifford on synth.

QuoteDREAMTIME A Great Opening Band would be helpful. I don't need MT. No one likes stadiums for music. Only 2 venues are covered for rain. Better promotion to describe theme of show, if any. Their current commercials advertise them playing your favorite hits. And yes, older fans are getting tired of this. 14 on Fire as a name sucked (and they used it for 3 legs). Zipcode is worst! The

IMO part of what made the '81/'82 tours so great was the amount of jamming that tok place onstage, allowing the guitars lots of opportunities for improvising licks and for the whole band to find a real nice groove. Although this sort of playing probably would have taken place with or without Ernie Watts, I do think he made a great contribution to the band's sound on that tour.

Does anyone know if Keith is playing this song in Open G? His solo is definitely played in standard tuning, but those chords sound like Open G to me.

Agree about these late '82 Pathe Marconi sessions being very interesting. I still really like the official Undercover album, but the more I listen to the outtakes and early demos the more I wish they had skipped the slick production that ended up making the final cut. I actually kinda dig Mick's muffled vocals and the bare bones, guitar-heavy sound of the early recordings, although the

Love what the pedal steel adds to Tried To Talk Her Into It. Definitely one of the highlights of the Boot, along with Keep It Cool and Eliza Upchink. High School Girl kinda goes nowhere.
