QuoteTKinOH My daughter and I will probably be hitting the Hockeytown Cafe, always a fun hang-out, even for a Blue Jackets fan! Haha!! A word of caution for those driving in... the Pistons have a home game at Little Caesars Arena on Monday night, also... it's right across I-75 from Ford Field and Comerica Park, so both crowds will be converging on the same parking facilities. Perhaps

Quotemitchrambler Have the stones played ford field before?and if so wondering how the sound is for concerts,I know they have the best of the best audio sound techs but sometimes indoors can be iffy I saw them there in 2002. I was on the floor, probably half way back and was happy with the sound. I remember Keith's guitar feeling like it was hitting me like rolling thunder. Here are re

Quotejstanek Ohh....thank you Saint Regis looks excellent! I'm ok with walking as well. I'm just 31 yrs old, so it shouldn't be problem at all. Could you give some tips for a good bar in downtown/ford field perimeter? Thanks again There's a ton of places to explore within walking distance. I'd just check out This Map and see what strikes your fancy. If you w

Quotejstanek Can someone recommend some good places to stay? everything is almost sold out :/ Looks like your best bet for something reasonably priced might be Hotel Saint Regis. It's about a 10 minute drive from Ford Field so you would need a taxi which may be an issue. This hotel is considerably better than others in the same price range and it appears to have rooms left. Something t

QuoteJavadave First pitch of the decisive Game 5 of the historic and tense Dodgers/Giants playoff series is at 6:07, which means the Stones will most likely be somewhere in the first hour of their show when the game ends. Maybe Mick can announce the result as an introduction to When The Whip Comes Down? I hadn't even considered the time difference for this show (I'm in Atlantic Canad

Thanks to all of those taking and/or posting videos. My last Stones show will forever be Philly 2019 but I so love seeing this band kicking ass.

I've read a number of comments from people feeling a bit silly that they are so upset regarding the passing of someone they never met. Aside from saying that there's nothing wrong with feeling what you're feeling, I'll leave a quote I read when Bowie passed. "We mourn our musical heroes not because we knew them but because they helped us know ourselves."

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but their latest LP "Good Times" is absolutely fantastic. It took me a minute to realize how great it is because my initial reaction was, "oh, they're just trying to make a 60's sounding record" but then I thought, "What the hell else do I want from the Monkees?" The album includes songwriting credits from Ri

Like BV, I was at the 2005, Light the Fuse gig. I think I've typed this story on here before but I'll review it again since the question was asked. I was involved in college radio at the time in London, Ontario (2 hours away). The station manager was friend and had lots of contacts in commercial radio so I asked him to put feelers out to his Toronto radio contacts in the hope of ge

QuoteKindaBlue Quotedownagain There's a recording of Jagger in a NYC record store discussing Stones bootlegs with the staff/owner. I tried to find it but I can't. Anyone have a link? I don't know if it the same one that you mean, but there is a Mick interview on the topic included as Track 01 of Unsurpassed Masters - Volume 1. This one isn't an interview but rather Mic

Quotebob r I would doubt that boot prices are that good anymore-- a lot of major bands have opened their vaults are now there are official releases of once cherished bootlegs: Dylan Basement tapes, various Stones concerts, the 50th anniversary Beatles releases with all those bonus tracks, etc That along with Youtube I don't think bootlegs have quite the draw they used to have I think it r

I've been known to let out a groan when they launch into this one live but was surprised how much I have enjoyed it since picking up Voodoo Lounge on vinyl about a year ago. The vinyl format doesn't have much to do with it other than that I play records way more than CDs these days. The lyrics will never win me over but the guitar work on the studio version gets me going. Post-pandem

Stones boots still hold their value. I'm not sure about other bands who perhaps weren't as popular. The best way to look at recent values is to check popsike or to search for specific bootlegs on Ebay and look at items which have actually sold. Check out "Nasty Music", for example. They ain't cheap.
