I prefer Keith's side.

I have been on both sides of the walkway and there is a camera on Ronnie's side that is constantly blocking the view if you are up close.

Looks like your best bet for something reasonably priced might be Hotel Saint Regis. It's about a 10 minute drive from Ford Field so you would need a taxi which may be an issue. This hotel is considerably better than others in the same price range and it appears to have rooms left.

Something to consider is finding out if Nemo's is running a shuttle to the concert. They do this for Tiger and Lion games. It's a great, convenient and inexpensive service. If taxis are hard to find after the show you could go spend some time at one of Detroit's great, old bars and then get a taxi when things calm down.

Those are both in good areas as far as safety, etc goes. If you’re walking the Courtyard will be a quicker trek to the stadium.

Hi,

Not sure how close you want to get to the stadium, but the Comfort Inn on Wick Rd In Romulus (near the airport) is a good choice. Very reasonable in price. However it's about 23 minutes from the stadium.

Ohh....thank you smiling smiley Saint Regis looks excellent!

I'm ok with walking as well. I'm just 31 yrs old, so it shouldn't be problem at all. Could you give some tips for a good bar in downtown/ford field perimeter?

Thanks again winking smiley

Hi, I live in Lansing. Go to Hotels.Com & enter Ford Field, Detroit in the search box. It brings up a number of hotels within walking distance. I just checked & there are a couple with decent prices.

Hi, are u driving back to Lansing after the show? I am comin from Flint, not sure about yet...

Probably will drive back, but not 100% sure.

There's a ton of places to explore within walking distance. I'd just check out This Map and see what strikes your fancy. If you want something really close the Elwood is good but I'd just take a stroll and see what looks good to you.

I saw them there in 2002. I was on the floor, probably half way back and was happy with the sound. I remember Keith's guitar feeling like it was hitting me like rolling thunder.

Here are reviews from the show in 2002.

They played in 2002 for the Licks tour. I would predict the sound should be just fine.

Topic AirBnB: A feew weeks ago, I've been at Detroit in an AirBnB, called "Goodbye Blue Detroit art / sleep stop" for one night. I can only recommend it, but you need an Uber from Ford Field to it (about 5-10 minutes). Especially for music fans it is the right place. The place is no luxus, but shows art and tells (music)-stories with impressive music-history. (Clean + friendly place)!

I saw them in Houston a month ago and know the tour manager - very good new Up and coming artist with rock billboard chart hits but couldn't tour due to Covid. Ayron is the artist - band is just a backing band but they are good also. Rock and roll.

I agree the Motown museum is excellent. Unfortunately, I understand it’s
closed until sometime next year.
