Here’s something I came across while looking at new bands and shows. They call themselves moon.alice and do a great cover of JJF here. I’ve posted JJF preceded by the song they use to lead into it. Moon.alice has as two of its players G.E. Smith, who’s played behind Jagger on tour and in the studio; played behind Dylan, lots of sessions and was the musical director of the “Saturday Night Live” band for a few years. The other name player to me is Jack Casady who was the bassist for the Jefferson Airplane and still half of Hot Tuna. This whole show is really great and recorded very well. I would love to hear the Stones do a version of JJF like this and jam it out for about 10 or 15 minutes. If y’all like the samples here, let me know, and I’ll get the rest of the show up. Enjoy!
