2006 - I beg to differ, most of the Japan shows have a very strange SB mix, no bass, or vocals very upfront, or one guitar hardly audible)

The best boots I've heard from the ABB tour so far are the Hershey and Houston shows from 2005. Both very good recordings and The Boys gave very spirited performances on both nights.
And as far as the '81 tour goes, Hampton 81 is my favorite.

Ok.......here's a few ideas....I'll try to include at least one soundboard recording....all audience recordings I mention here are of very good quality (at least in my opinion) unless otherwise noted.

Seattle, Fort Collins, San Francisco #1 and #2, Los Angelos #1 and #4, New York #6, Baton Rouge #1 and #2, Chicago #2, Jacksonville....etc...

1973 - European Tour 1973- Brussels 10/17/73- sb (of course!), Wembley 9/8/73 1st show- au, Birmingham Odeon 9/19/73 1st show- au......compilations such as The Stars In The Sky, They Never Lie are also very nice and include some soundboard and excellent audience recordings although they're not single or complete shows.

1973 - Pacific Tour 1973- Melbourne 2/17/73 1st show- au, Perth 2/24/73- sb, Sydney 2/26 and 2/27/73- both sb.........they don't sound quite as good as the recordings I just mentioned, but as a fan, you gotta have the L.A. Forum 1/18/73 show and the January 21st and 22nd Hawaii shows.

1972 - American Tour 1972 (also known as S.T.P. Tour)- Ft. Worth 6/24/72 2nd show- sb, Charlotte 7/6/72- au, Washington D.C. 7/4/72- au, Philadelphia 7/20 adn 7/21/72- sb, New York 7/26/72- sb......"Philadelphia Special" is essential, and includes tracks from Ft. Worth and Philly. You can get just about all of the soundboard recordings in the Touring Party box set. Also, there's a version of "Welcome To New York" that combines the first six songs with the soundboard recording to make a more complete show.
