I see there is a good selection of shows from '81 to listen to here. I'd like to listen to them all eventually, but can anyone tell me which would be the best to start with - sound wise & performance wise? Thanks in advance!

My vote is for Hampton '81 for the best sound and performance followed closely by the Phoenix show.
Weren't these the 2 shows used for the DVD "Let's Spend The Night Together?"
The '81 tour rocks!!!!!

New Orleans 12/5/81
Cedar Falls 11/20/81

These are all very good, in terms of sound and performance. Tempe and Hampton probably are the best.

In addition to Tumblin_Dice's list, which is excellent, I'd add 1st East Rutherford show, 2nd Seattle and both Hartford
But Vancouver is right....both Philly shows plus Buffalo are so much fun - allthough it's not recommended to 81 tour virgins

at any rate one of those Kentucky 81 shows perhaps both are very HOT as I remember!!

Also the first Dallas & New Jersey shows comes to mind as being exceptional

And YES Cedar Falls & Hampton (first night) ROCK!!!

OH hell I forgot - you are right Macman - both Kentucky shows - especially Lexington is in the very 81 top

Agree with everyone here. Still I'd like to mention the third Largo show. IMO it contains the best live rendition of Let it Bleed ever

If you're just talkin' boots then I don't know, but I saw PHX '81 & a couple others from the tour & Boulder #1 was the best show ever. Now would someone please help me find a boot of it.

I think Erik Snow mentioned Seattle 2nd show.

Seattle, Hampton , Philly New jersey, Buffalo and Arizona.
