Like I've always said: If you don't like it, don;t download it.

Monkeyman...if you don;t see many Stones posts it's because there really isn't that many "new" people posting shows...of any band.

It seems to me that the same 10 or so people post 90% of the shows here and well....there only have so much stuff out there.

I mean, how many times can a person post NYC 1972?

I agree that this is a Stones site, but as I've discovered, many of the people here enjoy other bands and performers besides the Stones. I tend to agree with Cafaro, there's only so much Stones stuff around and you can only post it so many times. If you're new to the site and haven't grabbed a lot of the Stones stuff already posted, okay, most of us will try and post it for you.

Regarding the Stones, myself, I tend to focus on one or two Stones eras, such as the Brian Jones and early Stones stuff and,just lately, the Mick Taylor era. I'm more interested in studio stuff than live shows, but I'll take what I can get. For the folks here at IORR, I do the Dylan radio thing (alas, five more weeks left on Bob's contract) and like to share what I feel are good shows and or studio work by other bands and artists, as I've discovered there are folks like me who like or want to hear other bands and artists and find this is a great place to share their work. I think this is part of our community here.

For me, I'll sample what others post just because I dig listening to something new and different. If I don't like it after I've DL'd it, than I've learned something about what I like or don't like. In closing, all I can say to anyone is, if something gets posted that's not your cup of tea, than don't drink it.

I could always stop posting; but I just dont see the point.
Its like saying: "Stones music would be much much better,
if Keith & Mick just could stop listenin' to other stuff all the time").

Besides, it seems like most people like the ot-posting.
I also note more people do check my stuff here than at Tell me!

Still, I agree with those who want a more or less Stones-connection.
I tried to lobby for a avantgarde band here, but that felt wrong.
Punkrock, reggae, 60s music, glam; can figure out many connections.

I listen to some of the OT posts here, they're interesting.

Is it too difficult when one does not like anything but the Stones not to look at OT's ? When one becomes mail, letters, advertising, etc., does he open each letter? I agree : there must be here a majority of Stones post because it's a Stones forum (Just keep on calling them "post : "). But I found here (and offered too) links to other groups or artists that were fine and lots of them were Stones-related, and I'm very thankful to those who shared. Thus, keep on calling them "OT :". So, if one does want OT's, one just has to leave it ! Is that too hard ?
Anyway, it's just my point of view ...
