Any chance people will stop uploading to GigaSize(since it SUCKS)?

GigaSize used to be great, but now it won't let me download more than 1 file a day. It's gotten ridiculous and I was just wondering if there's any chance people will stop uploading to it and use Megaupload, Sendspace, Rapidshare or any of the others instead.

Sendspace and Rapidshare both have limits I think? Megaupload works the best.

A few weeks ago when they changed their download limits and terms I caved in and bought the four month package. Given that it is $3.25 a month I considered it a small price to pay for downloading a good deal of free music. At least I can download everything in one session and don't have to keep coming back for multiple files like I do with Mega. I haven't had any problems with Giga since going with a premium account.

First you give kids heroin free, then when they're hooked you make them pay for it.

Or the people who upload with Giga Instead of doing it file by file do it as one big Zip File.

well, all these so called 'free' services have their own limitations. so i agree with kwhinos: please post it as one or two big file instead of posting one by one

Mr. UrbanSteel

i don't agree. sorry but this is bad idea sending track by track. it's very easy to learn how to work with ZIP or RAR files. it's simple for blondes even. it's not good idea if you have to open Gigasize site for example 20 times to download 1 cd. how many time you lose sending at your PC, when you are uploading your files and how many time lose another user if they want to get your upload? try to think about it.

We look with envy @ folks with such high speeds, rubycatgirl.

We're pretty backward Down Under, they're predicting that broadband uptake will equal dialup sometime this year in Australia, & that's why I post track by track.

There are still lotsa dialup folk out there who have no chance @ getting those big files & have no choice when it comes to net speeds.

Can't get anything at all off gigasize today - go through all the rigmarole of typing in the code, waiting for the 35 second countdown, clicking on 'download', then...nothing! Also I notice the 'premium' account at $3.25 is for 'a limited period only' - in other words they'll put the prices up soon...I wonder how much a 'premium' account will cost in a few months time.

...sign up for free...I don't have a premium account either...

And yes...I feel sorry for everyone with dial-up...I hope you folks catch up soon...

Hello everybody!

I think is time to ueveryone use Rapidashare (www.rapidshare.de or www.rapidshare.com) beacuse:

UPLOADER:

Long time for the files, if somebody downladed his file then are "always" avalaible!!

DOWNLOADER:

After the first downloaded you can do the second after 60 or 90 minutes... is not the best situation but TODAY i think is the best, best than GigaSize, ONLY one file per day!!

RapidShare, RapidShare, RapidShare, RapidShare!!

what is different between downloading of one 100MB file and 10 x 10MB files with dial-up connection?
why they can download 10 small files and cann't download 1 big file? i never had dial-up connection and i don't understand this problem.

Rapid remove uloaded files after 1 week after last downloading, gigasize do it after 90 days. this is very important i think

Vox is right kream, not all people have a high speed connection and 500+ shows on their harddrive so stop being so condescending to people who do not. You should be able to figure it out as I already explained that to you once before.

If it takes 3+ hours to download a one 25MB file or song (Midnight Rambler for example),(sorry not all files are 10MB or less) it would take hours to download one show. If your connection cuts out as they occasionally do, in the middle of a download, you lose the whole file if you do not have a download manager with a resume feature. Second it ties up your landline phone connection if any calls are coming in. Unless you have another service or a call alert. Again a risk for losing a connection. (its like a dropped call on cell service).

Its called a courteousy for others. That is exactly what Urban Steel provides. And that is very much appreciated by all. As is the posting one file as well. Thanks to all who go out of their way to make all happy. Believe me, those who cannot download one complete file are truly grateful.
