How do I record music from a dvd in the dvd-unit of my computer into mp3:s or flacs or something? Is there any good software for this purpose????

I use iSoft DVD to MP3 software. Then I burn to cd and listen to the tunes in my car or home stereo. There are others available that work well too.

anybody else use this? I've used it for converting records/tapes/dvd audio/mini disc....any source with audio outputs.
seems adequate....but there's probably much more advanced ways of doing it. any info is appreciated.

Thanks for the information. I tried it and it is really great! I extracted WAV files and FLAC files and burned the lossless audio on a normal CD so I can listen to the music on my stereo.

Now, I'm not too sure on this, please correct me if I've got it wrong, but I don't believe the audio on dvds is lossless, I think it's some form of compressed mpeg.
