I have an instrumental version.......I think it's just two guitars.....supposed to be Keith and Mick T........is that the one you're saying is fake?

The recent post of the UltraRare Tracks 9 cd series by Panch111 had a number of tracks attributed to Muscle Shoals:

Straight On - I speed corrected down by 10 % and sounds tons better
High Blues - I speed corrected down by 3-5% and sounds better

These two tracks sound from this era or are they B.S.? They sound like Muscle Shoals to me...

Wild Horses - 2 versions of wild horses one 3:42 another at 5:47

Brown Sugar - oh baby version 3:43 and another at 4:07

You Got to Move - Gimme Shelter tid-bit 0:44 sec.

anymore from Muscle Shoals floating around...

Just listen, and you'll have to come to the conclusion that there's no way that recording features our uberguitarists. Even if they were Stoned out of their heads they still wouldn't produce such crappy playing. Fake with a capital F.

I don't neccessarily think that argument would hold up. I'm not arguing that this recording is actually legit, I'm just saying that even good guitarists can play bad sometimes.......It sounded to me as if they (or whoever) was just jamming around over the chord changes and not really taking it seriously.....it may be fake but to say that Keith and Mick T. weren't capable of playing that badly.......have you ever heard the '72 Dallas Rehearsals?

alright!!!........I'm not trying to argue that it's not fake...I clearly stated that in my last post....I haven't listened to it in years......I'm just saying that the argument that the Stones guitarists couldn't possibly play that badly does not hold up.....

Of course even our hero's are known to play the occasional bumnote. There's probably enough recorded evidence to prove that point. But these particular track lack everything that makes their playing recognizable: The sound, rhythm, the technique and signature licks. These ain't no Stones tracks unless they were playing with their hands tied to their feet.

it appears the two guitars wild horses, straight on, & high blues are from the same recording session, some seconds of studio chatter at the end of each track that I can not make out

recordings...stones do a lot of dooding around as warm up..on many outtakes..

Straight on is also fake, they used to put that stuff on the disc and hardcore collectors would get a stiff one from reading the tracklist on the cd. Those days there was no internet, you bought he stuff without a listen. When you came home and played the track you knew it was a fake and you bought the thing for nothing (all the other songs on the cds were allready out there). No way to find stuff out like that beforehand when there was no info on it (internet ect.). Basement news came and everything was ok!
