Some people obviously have nothing better to do than converting everything they get from Dime to mp3 format and post it here...

midnramble

who told you that it's posted for you?

if you think that you're hearing different between flac and mp3 files
it's mean that's your problem and you are not serious man.
different you can see on your pc screen only but not in your ears

that's all what i can say because i'm too kind

kream posts everything in mp3 quality and regardless of what he downloads from DIME or other places, he usually asks for mp3's here. That's his personal preference. He posted this show for me to speed correct and I'm sure if anybody else wants to download it, he won't mind. If somebody doesn't want to download this show in mp3 quality, feel free to get it from DIME yourself. I'd rather have it in a lossless format myself but I'll take what I can get. I'd rather have it in mp3 quality as to not have it at all. kream posts alot of music on this site and I'm grateful for his efforts. If somebody doesn't want this show in mp3 format, they can get it else where.

Thank you for posting this kream. Great show. I along with many others on this board appreciate all of your posts. For those who don;t like them....they obviously "have nothing better to do than" complain.

I'm amazed that people acutally have time on their hands to actually sit down and worrycriticize about how people, who are doing all of us a kind service, post music.

I mean, your time would better spent helping people who are hungry, cold, and sick rather than complaining about a post.

BTW: Kream....I keep getting timed out of Gigasize. I follow the directions but it just doesn't want to work for me. Is there another site like Gigasize I can use?

thank you TD07 & Cafaro

from time to time Gigasize has troubles. probably too big traffic. but this is the server which keep files alive for longest time. if Gigasize doesn't let to download this show i will upload it tommorow via Sendspace

Thanks Kream. Sendspace works fine for me. I'm trying to upload a show on Giga now. It's 163.32 MBs. It has taken 1/2 hour to get 44.88MBs completed. Is that normal?

thanks kream.
i agree: posting in Mp3 files/ CD quality is okay.

the problem here seems to be the upload speed. download here is fine: no problem.
but my provider only gives me 1/4 upload- of the download speed.

'.....well, i'm talking about the midnight rambler.......
everybody got to go.....

It took me almost 1.5 hours to upload Detroit 69 on Gigasize.

Thanks for the post.

My hat is off to you guys, Cafaro, kream, urbansteel, who take so much of your time to share the music with us.

I do most my listening in the car and on the computer, only occasionally on the stereo and for those noisy places, mp3s are great.
I'm grateful for the flacs because they're the best, but not nearly as portable.

Gigasize is all over the place. Tonight and usually it's been fast, but some days it's slow or the pages don't come in right.

something wrong is going on with Gigasize. i won't repost it via other server because i hope Mr. Tumblin_Dice_07 will repost it after speed correction

Hi,

The speed is about a semi-tone slow - look forward to the speed corrected version. Thanks for all your efforts.

kream,
Shame on you!
You degraded 30 year old recording in one move of your mouse. You have not brain, feelings, nothing...
Did you ever record any show?I guess not.If you can not hear diference between original recording and crappy mp3 give chance to others to do it. Tomorrow some people would't have choice, beacouse original material will stay in small circle of collectors. Please give chance next generations to enjoy in nature sound.Just imagine what size were recorders in that age and how was hard to record any show.

I understand your position sumi.........but we all understand that if we down load kream's post, we're downloading lossy files. If somebody cares so strongly about lossless formats, then they DON'T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD kream's post. kream always posts mp3's and that's all he ever asks of anybody else.

It took me about 6 hours to rip the Memphis 75-CDrs, speed up the recording, normalizing and I even edited some cuts out. Then my upload on Dime took about 8 hours until the first one was complete and after that somebody on Dime told me that I messed up the pitch. as he was absolutely correct I ripped my CDrs again raised the speed AND the pitch, normalized again, got rid of the cuts again - another 5-6 hours to complete a second torrent - another 6 hours until it was snatched for the first time. all in all I had (part of it by my own mistake) a job to do for more than 10 hours until the final version is now shared - at least with everybody on Dime who wants it. 10 hours is a lot of time. I love to spend this time for others - I call a lot of them friends - and to share parts of my collection.

I can only guess what midnrambler had in mind when he wrote this but what I can say - if somebody helps me out with a recording and I put it up on Dime he get's a "Thank You" and credits for what he'd done.

That's something I'm missing here and everywhere else in your posts kream - I don't care if you convert it to MP3 and I dig it that you share it with others here but what about a simple "Thank You" to the uploaders on Dime ?

Cheers

silkcut 1978

you can be sure i always write "thank you" when i'm downloading in every place and every time

i've wrote "thank you" under you first vsn because this is your first vsn "Memphis" without pitch correction

i've wrote it before your torrent was banned

i appreciate your effort and effort of every great uploader

mp3 files are good files specially for people with slow connection. it's not kind when somebody who has fast speed connection wouldn't understand people with slow connection. they want to listen great music too.

I hope I made that clear kream - I appreciate what you're doing here because I'm aware that many people have slow connections and I think they should be able as well to listen to all this stuff - no problem from my point of view and you're welcome to convert every upload of mine whenever you think that it fits in here. But I can only speak for myself - others may see it different and if they ask for something not to be converted into a lossy format I'm sure you'll pay them you're respect.

Cheers

Tumblin_Dice_07,
Problem is in fact that mp3 songs will convert again in CD!!! and nobody will know later that it is degraded MP3 sound.Do you understund that?
kream,
just think before you want to be Robin Hood.in one way I can understund you. Simple life make of you person who want to live cheaper as it is possible. But trust me, poent of living is not that. You can put 6 concerts in FLAC on 1 DVD and trade on old fashion style, by post. But it costs, isn't it?Yes I understund, all world be soon in McDonald's style, fast eat, fast @#$%&...
Please think twice before you want to help. We all need sometimes from other person to get "thanks", but try to find to get it in another field of human work. Try to help your friend in garden, try to spend much time with your family, try to write book, just try something different. Trust me Microsof's way of thinking, that you with one click of mouse can do good job, is not always good as looks like.

I don't shame to fight for right thing. Off course I admit that thing is not right thing for everyone and I respect that.I don't afraid that other people will judge and tell that I am idiot.
I guess that you would't be Robin Hood if you must pay for internet bandwich. With this free services everyone can be Robin Hood, even one day.
Try to record some shows, you will see another side of the story.I guess that you would't have balls to do it.

Hey sumi, haven't seen you for a while, must say I miss your, umm, lucid discussions on this matter. Have you upgraded to a lossless DAT system yet or are you still using the lossy minidisc you have?

Re: POST: Stuttgart 1976

I do understand what you're saying sumi but do you understand that you don't have to download the damn mp3's if you don't want to? Ya get it? If YOU DON'T WANT MP3'S, DON'T DOWNLOAD THEM....I'm not gonna burn this show only a disc and start trading it......I'll listen to it for my own enjoyment and I think that's what most people here do....... If people burn these mp3's on a disc and pass them on as the original disc, then they're the ones that are in the wrong, not kream.
