POST: Mick Taylor Live In Hungary July 2001

I'll post this set track by track over the next couple of days. This is an incredible set. MT guitar & vocals, Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix Experience) bass and John Coghlin drums.

Here is track two Red House.

MT plays some of the licks (note for note) that Jimi Hendrix played in the Live At Winterland version. Now that's research! God bless Jimi Hendrix & Noel Redding.

Track 2 The Red Rooster

Mick Taylor brings this Howlin' Wolf classic alive with a stinging slide guitar tone.

Track 5 I Wonder Why
[www.sendspace.com]

This is the last track from this set. Mick Taylor pulls out all the stops on this. He switches seamlessly from rythmn to lead to slide. Plays some licks I've never heard him play before. Noel Redding's bass swings underneath.

The best 'til last. A classic and not often in Mick Taylor's set.

Track 1 Catfish Blues

Mick's slide technique on this is flawless. A killer tone with lots of (dare I say it) VIBRATO.

Enjoy!

I'm pretty new here, don't know if I can use the v-word yet, but great sound.
Slow ponderous start reminiscent of some led-zep
