If you did not know before, the instrumental clip before "Don't Lie To Me" cuts in (track 1, CD2) is, indeed, the band rehearsing parts of "Sweet Black Angel" which they would perform the next day in Ft. Worth for the (assuming**) only time ever.
The initial higher-pitched guitar lines are the end of the " de gal in chains" part, and the thumping, heavier guitar is the electric version of the main riff.
If you've heard the complete audience tape of the show you will recognize the electric arrangement.

Question though!
I remember seeing (and I heard once) the band rehearsing Tumbling Dice - Keith stood in the studio facing the band - I heard 2 or 3 versions of that.
If anyone more knows about this can you share either your comments or better still post the tracks?

You're probably talking about the Montreaux rehearsals before the '72 North American Tour. There were two versions of TD that were used as promo-films.
