Does anybody out there have a recording of Keith's guest performance with the JIM CARROLL BAND on the song "People Who Died" . recorded in New York City, The Trax 26th June 1980.

See Stoneswork1 torrent on rocksoff.

It's not a very good copy of the Jum Carroll number, though listenable.

There's no better version that I know of. I just mean to keep your expectations low so you won't be too disappointed.

Great strategy! The other tracks on the Stoneworks seem very interesting too by the way. Haven't seen/heard the Ron Wood/Simon Kirke tracks before.

I enjoyed digging it out and listening to it again. The Lonnie Mack tracks are nice if you like blues.

Enjoy.

Great to hear this one. There's some distortion in the right channel of the Jim Carroll song during the first 30 seconds (concerning mainly Carroll's introduction of the song). You can defenitely hear Keith rip it up is his distinctive early eighties guitarstyle/sound. Thnax again!

Please do! Such a great song. I had no idea Keith played with Jim Carroll. Drive-by Truckers do a fantastic cover of it sometimes.

Good day,

Pretty shabby recording but an undeniable barn-burner from K.R.

Thanks, I have seen a photo of Keith playing "People who died" but never knew of a recording. I have found only 5-6 recordings of Jim Carroll over the years on Dime and elsewhere.
