buffalo 81 has just posted cds1 & 2 from this Rattlesnake set & we can't have you without the rest can we.

I've long had these as 4 long album wrap files, from winmx I believe, & the problem in splitting these with a regular audio editor is that you re-encode the individual files hence losing a bit of quality. I've just found a little freeware proggie that splits long files WITHOUT RE-ENCODING THEM! I don't know if this is old hat to everyone but I've just discovered it & I'm rapt. The proggie is here -

This is my first try with this, I've checked the files & they all seem to be OK but please let me know if you find anything untoward. There's very good scans of the artwork @ rs-covers

Hi Vox. I wish to attempt my first upload. It is A Stone In My Shoe on vinyl. Do I record it using Audacity? Or is that new proggie what I shall use? Thank you.

jagger50, use Audacity to record & then split the files. Save them as wav files so you can make your own cd & then make mp3s from those wav files. That new proggie doesn't record, it only splits & joins mp3s. Good Luck

Thanks very much for uploading these. I am having trouble with CD 3 tracks 2 & 3. If you could put them up again it would be very much appreciated.

9-13 are with muddy waters in chicago 11/81 checker board lounge, just in case somebody didn't know. 12 string you picked the best songs off that CD sounds good.Just saw Muddy's son Big Bill Morgenfeld play a couple of weeks ago he played I'm a man the people loved, the wife got his autogragh and a kiss on the cheek.

He didn't pick them exaclty himself, you have to thank Rattlesnake for that ;-)
