I've started listening to these guys again after about 20 years. Are there any good unofficial releases out there? Can anyone post a live show?

There is supposed to be a live album from the last period, just before Page made it to Led Zeppelin. This is said to contain a version of Dazed and Confused by the yardbirds. But then again, I only read about it, I never heard it.

The Live album you are referring to is The Yardbirds Live At Anderson Theater Featuring Jimmy Page and does indeed feature a pre Zep version of Dazed and Confused caled I'm Confused. Epic released it to captialise on Zeppelin's rising popularity but Jimmy Page, who owned the Yardbirds name, filed an injunction and the album was pulled almost immediatley after it's release. It is avaialbe on CD and I have the vinyl as well. Some great playing by Jimmy Page on it to be sure but the recording is a bit muddy

Can you repost this show with Jeff Beck instead of Jimmy Page?

I downloaded some songs from Limewire and put them on a disc with Roger the Engineer. You can really hear Beck's stylings vs. Page's.

the single HAPPENINGS TEN YEARS TIME AGO/PSYCKO DAISES are good filler to roger the engineer,and there is x-tra over dubbed guitar on the mono version of HOT HOUSE OF OMGARSHID.

How totally coincidental is this? Earlier on today i met up with an old mate of mine to have a few pints & i gave him my copy of that bootleg featuring that track. I made a few copies of the disc a few months ago and i think i gave them all away. I'll have a look later tonight to see if i have a copy left and if i do i will upload it, otherwise it might be a while before i catch up with my buddy with my copy.

Totally cool - I found my original copy. I've uploaded Dazed and Confused, it's getting late here so I will upload the entire album tomorrow night. The bootleg i have is called The Yardbirds Last Hurrah - & is supposedly their very last show. Not sure if it is their last show or not but if it is they certainly ended in good form.

15 years ago i bought a book about zepp(beside stones,my favourite)...at the begining of the book was story of yardbirds...bought some records to hear them,love and listen to since now!
