It’s summer! Hotter than Hades out here in the American southwestern desert…over 110 degrees every day for the past few days, never below 90 at night. And, summer, it’s just begun for us.

But the desert’s in bloom in some areas and the cactus flowers, giant saguaro cactus, palo verde trees and palm trees are something to behold against the morning sky. And so is Dylan’s show for this week. I’d have included a few other songs such as The Statler Brothers “Flowers On The Wall’, Haggard’s ‘Roses In The Winter’, Stones ‘Dead Flowers’, maybe even Wayne Newton’s version of ‘Red Roses For A Blue Lady’, but that’s me. Years ago, I was in Tucson for a while, and I loved the Sonoran Desert. Beautiful! My stay there included the one week in October when the desert has Fall, which was great, with lots of interesting colors. It's hot but, not being heat sensitive, I didn't mind it much.

Have you posted the "Cars" episode yet? I'd love to hear that one. BTW, have you listened to the 30-second snippets from his "Modern Times"? It sounds a little better than "Love & Theft" but not quite as good as TOOM.
