Tokyo Dome, Tokyo. This is the boot called Cold Steel Blue, from February 26 1990. Sympathy on Flashpoint is from this show. I have to do disc 2 tomorrow because I have to get up early for garage sailing, wish me luck on finding an old Stones LP.

Thanks for this, TT. Superb sound -- the best I've heard from the 89-90 tours. Can't wait for the second half.

It's finally here, disc2 of Cold Steel Blue. I went garage sailing today. And I got an old LP of Beggars Banquet with no cover and scratched in a couple of places for 50cents. I'm listening to it now and man, are records GREAT.

Thank you so much! I love the shows from Japan because there is less crowd noise during the Keith ballads usually and I hear can the music better. It's like they are actually *listening* which is brilliant.

Charles, i agree with you. Japanese are very educated to listen and enjoy the music during the show. You can hear the sound clear as not other country...

TatteredTongue! Thanks for posting this great boot. It is one of the better sounding ones that I've hear. That is Cindy Mizelle singing with Mick on Gimme Shelter. She was with them on the '89/'90 tour. As was Lisa and Bernard. I guess Blondie took Cindy's place after she left.

The core element of Keith/Charlie/Bill were hitting on all cylinders at this show, so we are very fortunate to have this.

I'm beginning to understand why Bill decided that this would be his last tour --in his mind, how could the band top it? He was 52, and had had his fill. Can't blame him.

Once again, though, I agree with others who feel that Keith was simply outstanding on that night in Tokyo. He was still the undisputed leader on stage, and his brilliance took the band up to another level.

"2000 Light Years From Home"-- holy smokes! Man, I wish the band would revisit this bit of hard rockin' psychedelia.

TatteredTongue:

I'm back again to rave about how good this Sister Morphine boot is. I finally got around to listening to some of this and boy it is a very, very loud blast in-your-face, stereo soundboard recording.

I suppose that it is typical of SM boots because the 1998 " Rockin' The House Down In Bremen " boot that was posted earlier on IORR is mighty great as well.

I can't imagine any boot sounding better than this and I have a stack of 'em.

A few years ago, I managed to pick up SEVENTH OF JULY on the chamelion label and based on reviews, has always been considered a 10/10. Well, it doesn't come close to this in terms of dynamic range.

Outstanding !!

Thanx a lot!!!

Cindy Mizelle and Lisa Fischer were both in Tokyo 1990, but it's Cindy singing on Gimme Shelter!!!

Lisa started with the Stones in 89 (She sings backing vocals on Steel Wheels and appears in both Mixed Emotions and Rock And A Hard Place videos.)

Same as Bernard Fowler came into Stones by changing the chorus of Mixed Emotions. And thank God he got the job (You can see this in 25X5 documentary)

Thanks TatteredTongue.

I have a question : i have a CD called '"Rolling Stones '90'" on Papillon (Papillon 012). But there is no indication on the place where it was recorded. Is this the same ? Same Setlist.

Can someone help me ?
