It' very interesting, but "Brussels Affair" is not the best quality for these recordings (Brussel 73).

I think it's "Europe `73" (VGP) and "Nasty Music" (VGP)

Jens:

I'm sure that sound quality was the priority for voting. The Brussel Affair boot is not the best quality, easily surpassed by Brussels Affair Definitive Edition and several others as you mentioned.

What the list does provide is a guideline to the top concerts worth chasing down. The individual needs to sift through the internet reviews of all the versions of each concert to determine what is the best one.

That's a very interesting list. I am particularly surprised that the Hampton boot, which is in my view the best (at least among those I own) would be raked in the 20s. The Brussels (Definitive) Affair is certainly good, but I am skeptical about its number one position.

Raoul:

I think if you canvassed most collectors, I bet they would pick Brussels 1973 as the number one favourite of all time based more on performance than sound quality. There are plenty of boots that have far better sound quality than Brussels 1973; especially the newer they get.

Timeless Europe and Gorgeous Girls Redux are the top two IMHO. It gets harder after that with the SM versions of many from the previous list in the top 20.

Performance-wise, Brussels probably deserves the top spot, but I listened to Tokyo 90 today and I'll go on record as saying that it's without question the best sounding bootleg by the Stones. It could be released commercially tomorrow with no overdubs.
