That's a weird one. I watched PJ Harvey a few times on Jools Holland show, think she's cool, I should probably get some of her albums. I don't quite get Bjork though, I respect her, but man...

Here's a cover of Street Fighting Man by a popular Croatian/Bosnian band Zabranjeno Pusenje. The lyrics are about going with a bus to the Stones' concert in Zagreb '98.

Now for something really, really odd but good, check out the futuristic, B-horror, nazi-inspired cover of 'Sympathy For The Devil' by the industrial metal pioneers from Slovenia - Laibach:

I think I've listened to all of their albums and been to their concert 6-7 times ('western' version of the band), haven't heard them doing IORR, that's probably some other band. Or they played it live somewhere.

Elvis J Kurtovich covered that with his band ("God, let R'N'R die", was the ttle. He was and still is a friend with Zabranjeno Pusenje... At some point he was also a member, if I'm not mistaken...
Both covers were not at all aerious attempts to cover a song. Just fooling around and trying to make fun of it...
