Sorry for taking so long with this second CD

Last monday my no.1 dog, Vox, a rhodesian/alsation cross, threw up his dinner, off to the vet who figured some sort of gastric problem, 5 lots of pills later we're back home, he's doing alright, a bit restless. Tuesday he's not eating but he really enjoyed his walk, off to the vet for some injections, all these outings are real fun. Wednesday he's not good. Thurs I carry him to the vets were the X-rays show stomach cancer & we have to put him down.

He reminded me of Keith a lot, a larrikin, as we say here in Australia, a rascal, a lovable rogue, constantly getting into scrapes. We got him from the local pound where he jumped on me & said take me home, so we did. 10 years later he's gone, my wife & I didn't have a good chance to say goodbye, tho we were both with him at the end.

No.2 dog, Stella, is now no.1, we think she misses him but she's not moping. It's weird only taking one dog for a walk. Listening to Phoenix '81 right now & Miss You has just come on.

Pet lovers will now were I'm at right now.

So sorry about Vox. As an animal lover I completely understand. Last year a country singer had a song out called "I Miss My Friend", which has nothing to do with pets but every time I heard it I thought of my cat I had to put down some years ago. One of the family.
