loyal viewers may recall a few months ago i posted a video of sweet little sixteen from this show with a much better sound source synced to it and pleaded for someone to do the same to the rest of the video of this show

then i decided to get off my lazy ass and do it myself

this was a lot of frustrating work but after three months i finally got it done

the source i used for this is not nearly as good as the one used for sweet little sixteen (which is used here for sweet little sixteen as well) but it's a noticeable improvement over the original audio for this show

the sync isn't completely perfect but it's better then the original in many spots notably the first 25 seconds let it rock are now in sync and the first minute of shattered is not just crowd noise and is properly synced

i've also created stereo matrixes with the original audio source and the new one for respectable, far away eyes, and love in vain and in a less substantial way tumbling dice, happy, and part of brown sugar to bring out the vocals a bit more

and with the new audio source i've made some adjustments to make it sound better eq and balancing out the channels

i know this video is far from perfect but it's basically a video of a complete show from 78 and that is something special and now its much more listenable (at least to me)

the video is split into two parts because of the file size to unzip it properly use 7-zip or a similar program

SL16 is from the freezer tape and the rest will unfortunately never pop up,

maybe you can tell me something about the origin of this video

i can find precious little information about it

i assume this was done by the stones themselves and not someone in the audience due to there being multiple cameras and because of how difficult it would have been to smuggle in the bulky video cameras of the time

but if this wasn't the stones but someone in the audience then theres a hell of a story to be told about how they managed it

My guess has always been that it was an in-house Superdome video ‘crew’ (there was probably a video system in place for college football teams)that shot it. Perhaps in conjunction with the Stones an/or Bill Graham.
