Little Queenie Live 1969 “Mule Version"

I realize there is some creative editing at the end of this song, but where did this live '69 version of Little Queenie (without the fan editing) come from? Acetate? Japanese single?

Thanks!

With that crackling it should be the acetate version.

Maybe you are thinking of, - that on Japanese single, most of the intro
is missing . . . ?

It was a Japanese single with a different mix. Same performance as YaYas.

I have this London TOP-1601 in my collection, because of the short intro . . . It starts in the middel of it, - (probably made by mistake), and have made an
A/B comparison with LPs and CD’s.

I really don’t think it’s a different mix . . . .

In general I find it hard to compare 7” vinyl from the 60’es with CDs, - as there simply is a little more of everything on CDs. More “powerful” - more detailed - normally louder bass a.s.o. . .
There seems however, - regarding the whole GYYYO - a tendency that the whole
“stereo-picture” is a little narrower and concentrated on CDs, than on vinyl, -
a difference I have earlier noticed.

With all those factors taken in account, I must say, that I think the Mix itself is identical . . .

There was a single in 1970 with the Ya-Ya's version, the japanese 7" from 1972 was an edit (4.07) of Ya-Ya's. There is also a japanese SACD issue that mistakenly had a shorter song intro, afaik.

Interesting ! Do you mean that this Short-intro Little Queenie also exist on SACD, - or are you referring to the Short-intro Stray Cat Blues - ?

Oh sorry, you are absolutely right, the track with the shortend intro on SACD is Stray Cat Blues, not Little Queenie.
