Mick Taylor
with Mayall’s Bluesbreakers
in springtime 1982

This is a series dedicated to Mick Taylor’s shows with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in May and June 1982 when they toured California and the US East Coast.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.

The whole show was professionally filmed by Len Dell'Amico.
The show was partly released on the video ‘Blues Alive' in 1984 and re-released with three more tracks on the DVD 'Jammin’ With The Blues Greats' in December 1998
It was also partially released on 2 CDs in 2011 as ‘In The Shadow Of Legends’ (on Blues Boulevard). In the tracklist above the officially released tracks are followed by an asterisk (*).

In 2016 I uploaded on IORR a complete version coming from my video rip (cf. the doc file).
Here I slightly reworked it by declicking it and I reworked the transitions between the tracks that now start with the song.

As usual all the infos are taken from The Mick Taylor Complete Works Database by Nico Zentgraf: [www.nzentgraf.de]

Thanks for putting together and posting. I only saw Maya once, with Coco Montoya on guitar. Little-know kid at the time, he forged a solid blues career, like so many BB guitarists. Great guests on this!

Can't wait to listen.
