Mick Taylor
with Mayall’s Bluesbreakers
in springtime 1982
This is a series dedicated to Mick Taylor’s shows with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in May and June 1982 when they toured California and the US East Coast.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.
Line-up: MT (gtr; some keyb)/John Mayall (voc, keyb, harm, gtr)/John McVie (bass)/Colin Allen (dr)

For this show, a version sent by ‘Smokedusky’ years ago, was the best one. I already reworked it in 2016. Here’s the textfile from back then:
………..
I amplified a little the sound (+1db) of some tracks and from 2’18 until 2’38 of « You Never Can Be Trusted ». I also improved the beginnings/ends of the cd-rs with fade ins/outs.
The only problem was that « The Dark Side Of Midnight » is cut after 4’55 (probably due to a tape flip) and the end of the song is on track 7. Trying to improve the listening pleasure I put a fade in/out at the place of the gap and I combined the two segments to one track.
On cd2/track 04 I edited the little defaults at the end but it remains some harsh transition between some songs but nothing really too bad.
………..
Here’s what I newly did: I rephased and equilibrated both channels and I reworked the transitions between the tracks that now start with the song.
Note a fade in/out before ‘Room To Move’.
