I never knew if it existed or not, so I thought IORR would give me an answer.

No, it's not Mr. Freezer. I had contact with the taper a while ago and he told me that the sound is really bad because of the wind which made some big noise in his mike. I don't know if that's the reason for keeping it (we all know how fast one gets critisized for an imperfect recording lol), I was left with the feeling that he doesn't want to share except for getting a real rarity in exchange. I would love to get this tape one day but all in all I can't see the point to give away unreleased studio-recordings in exchange for a (I suspect) medium aud.-recording as long as it's not El Mocambo...;-)

There are some great shows that have answering machine sound, but if one is a true believer, one can get past the sound. Listen to the Amsterdam '73 shows -- brilliant in every possible way, but sound-wise a total washout. I still shake my white ass to those shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring on Dallas '75, wind or no wind!

Exactly.
I prefer a mediocre tape of a brilliant performance over a good sound quality recording of a lousy show anytime.
Ever listened to ATLANTA 07-30-75? I dug this out of the bin recently.
A crappy tape but damn, what a KILLER show!!
Seems like a random date but IMO this is the best performance of the T.O.T.A. and one of my 10 all time fovorite Stones shows.

T&F, copy that one for me would you? I though Seattle was one of the top ten for consistency. I have a new '72 show I'll trade. It's an alternate source, but for a completist like you, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Email me privately.
