[www.youtube.com] ..... whoah!

One more to tick off that small but really cool list of 1960s Stones videos fabulously restored in 4K.

5 down - 2 to go - Dandelion and She's A Rainbow, can only keep waiting in hope.

A Dandelion video is at [rockpeaks.com], but I can't watch it in my country. Can anybody get it?

That's a shame. Will now live in hope of it coming up in beautiful 4K, just like COTM now has, plus the colour version! Even though it's 1080p, that's a big advance on the 480p one found not long ago.

At least we can think that a 4K Dandelion might appear. But as for She's A Rainbow, who knows?

Yes, as I mentioned in the post above. A real breakthrough.

I tried it through one of those proxy sites but still had no luck unfortunately.

Very unfortunate. Blocked worldwide, perhaps. Then we might have to batten down the hatches until an official release like the other ones so far. Might be worth the wait, however.

when they edited it on DVD BLU-RAY AND 4K or is it only for online

DVD & BluRay cannot play 4K video. Currently the 4K version is only available online and it's questionable if there's enough demand for a release on 4K-UltraHD-Disc.

In what country is the video available? A VPN should work if it's a location issue.

In what country is the video available?

Looks like in none (except Somaliland and Kosovo), according to a checking tool for [www.YouTube.com] .

Hey Irix (or anybody else). About that Dandelion video at [www.youtube.com], are there any updates on being able to grab it?

Feeding the YT video address into [watannetwork.com] now also shows that you can watch it in North Cyprus, so come on all you IORREers in Somaliland, Kosovo, and North Cyprus, see if you can get it!! winking smiley

Using Google Translate in a certain way, I arrived at [www-youtube-com.translate.goog]

This holds the initial frame of the 3:34 video without moving on to the "video unavailable" message. I can even move the cursor along the progress (time) bar and see snapshots of the "day in the woods" all through, so it's there, somehow and somewhere in the background.

Just one problem. I can't grab it with any of the resolures that I have, nor can I faind anything online to grab it. Can anybody try their luck at grabbing it from this new "expanded address"?

Once more, for the record, it's at [www-youtube-com.translate.goog]

This trick doesn't work for me - the GDPR consent from YouTube appears and an error occurs when trying to click it away.

I'm pleased to hear that you gave it a try from wherever you are. It sounds like you had a different experience. For me, [www-youtube-com.translate.goog] comes on with the picture of Mick's face and stays that way without almost immediately going to the "blocked in your contry" screen message. When I press "play", the revolving progress circle appears, but it doen't play. I can see frames at any point hovering the cursor over the progress bar. It seems that that more points that I press, the more (or different) images that are set up in [right click] Inspect/Application/Image. One example is [i.ytimg.com], and I think that shows a good range of stills from the video.

It appears to be the "day in the woods" mentioned at [www.imdb.com]. There's silent moving footage of this at [www.youtube.com], but it's only 2:21 long, not 3:34 as per the song, and it has a logo at top RHC as well as a time counter. If anybody can find this video in full (I haven't been able to so far), I could put the song's audio to it and recreate the video with audio. Somebody perhaps might recognize it. It's vaguely familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on wherever else I might have seen it in the past.

Anybody who can find the "day in the woods" video in full, please post a message here and I'll try anything further that I can.

Some research - a moment of Mick's face in this video appears in the We Love You video. That's what was vaguely familar.

Same here: I get the Mick picture, the play button, the scrollbar, the runtime - but then all this is superimposed by the large GDPR consent window. Trying to click it away results in errors. Starting the video at a different position works (with #t=1h2m3s after the video-URL), but gives no new pictures - the video is black there and still superimposed by the GDPR consent window.

I've then managed to use a free VPN to Australia and there's no GDPR consent window. Now I can see the small preview pictures above the scrollbar too. Trying to "scroll" through the video by starting it at a different position (via URL-extension) doesn't work properly - it gives only a waiting indicator. But when the small preview picture is pulled above, you get a whole timeline of the video preview.

The only way to download a geo-blocked video from YouTube is to use a Proxy or VPN from a country where the specific YT-video is not blocked.

I thought right outside the square. This is a really high-tech strategy, not. I remembered a complete videography project that I did for myself a long time ago.

The result ..... yes, I admit it ..... I have a 360p .avi of it on a backup drive. I obviously got it from somewhere out there when it was accessible, maybe even the very same site where it's now blocked. Nice clean screen, ready for restoration and enhancement by an expert, say you, Irix? Would like to see that.

Anyway, can I send it to you? Just 28.9 MB. Your e-mail address is hidden. Otherwise any other enhancement experts might like to work on it. Just let me know preferences for how and where to upload it.

Now that just leaves the original She's A Rainbow video to be found. Given the fact that [www.imdb.com] describes the video as "Mick tries to film a scene while fans look on.", does anybody think that [www.youtube.com] might be the one? It's missing the first few notes, probably fades out a bit too early as well, but it has two points where some filming is shown. Whatever, anybody's thoughts about this one?

Simply upload it on WeTransfer. But I have no tools for video restoration & enhancement installed - maybe someone else can help you with this video.

For 'Dandelion' - same as on [www.YouTube.com] - I've made a small screen-recording video, scrubbing through the YT-preview via the above Google Translate playback trick - [Mega.nz] .

For the video, here's the WET link: [we.tl]

..... for anybody at all to see what they can do to enhance it. Available until 31.5.24.

N.B. I noticed there's a small rub-out at lower LHC, but it's not very noticeable.

Thanks! For those who are interested, I've made an mp4 video in the usual 640x480 resolution of it. Quality is not better of course, I made no optimizations or something, just converted with Handbrake.
Here you go:

I don't mind if anybody thinks it's a bad video, nor if only M & K turned up. But behold, Marianne is in it ... I thought I saw a bonus Mick "cheeky move" at one point ... maybe it's in that other 16mm video. ... yes, it is, about 10 seconds from the start. At least it's one more in the small list of the earliest Stones music videos - see [en.wikipedia.org] (the 1966-1968 videos).

Hopefully one day it will be beautifully remastered, like COTM, for example.

Now that just leaves the "painfully absent" She's A Rainbow video clip to be found. For a start, note my query on May 27 above.
