POST: Mick TAYLOR with Mayall's BB - 1984 U.S. Tour Vol 02a - 19 January 1984 (BERKELEY -2nd show) audience - complete
MICK TAYLOR with the
JOHN MAYALL’S BLUESBREAKERS.
The 1984 U.S. tours
This is a series dedicated to Mick Taylor’s shows with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in the US in 1984.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.
1984 US tour Part 1: the January shows (West Coast).
19th January 1984
- BERKELEY -
19th January 1984: Berkeley, California, The Keystone (2nd show)
Line-up: MT (gtr)/John Mayall (voc, harm, keyb, gtr)/Tim Drummond (bass)/Mike Gardner (dr)
Note: The song Rockin’... seems to have a variable title, e.g. Rockin’ At The Coachhouse or Rockin’ At The Keystone, depending on the venue.
For this show we have two different sources.
Version #1: had a good sound but a little muddy, it’s complete and lossless
Version #2: is a soundboard but it’s incomplete and lossy.
We decided to propose both versions here.
Version #1: lossless audience (complete)
01 - Intro and band introduction #1
02 - Checkin’ Up On My Baby
03 - Streamline
04 - Get Me Some Dollars
05 - Ready To Ride
06 - Parchman Farm
07 - Muddy Waters Blues
08 - Room To Move
09 - Rockin’... At The Keystone
10 - Outro and band introduction #2
I deleted microgaps between the tracks. Also I have slightly increased the treble and I reworked the transitions between the tracks that now start with the song.
I upgraded the microphone variation in ‘Parchman Farm’ at 5’55 and deleted a gap in ‘Room To Move’ at 4’10.
Note a fade in/out after ‘Room To Move’ (encore break).
The pix used for the front covers are coming from the 13th April 1984 in Houston and can be found on: [www.rockinhouston.com
As usual all the infos are taken from The Mick Taylor Complete Works Database by Nico Zentgraf: [www.nzentgraf.de
