I couldn't disagree more. The people who have these songs are probably amongst the older generation of fans who listened to these songs during that period. One issue is that the younger fans seem only to want to have perfection, lossless recordings and for pity's sake not on MP3, and full annotations, etc. The older collectors here will remember the days of trading in cassettes of varying quality but we were pleased just to hear the music and the experience was akin to listening to radio broadcasts at the time, especially from Radio Luxembourg in the UK. If ever these recordings became available many here would no doubt complain over the quality but I would give a lot to hear the missing BBC broadcasts and Rasio Lux tapes, I am not interested in yet another recent concert performance.
Let's hope that the band have something special for us for the 60th anniversary. I suspect that 'Meet Me In the Bottom' is a teaser and more is on the way
