22nd January - 9th February: Rotterdam, Holland, De Doelen, Mobile Record Unit.
Producers: The Glimmer Twins. Sound engineers: Keith Harwood, Glyn Johns.
Additional musicians: Billy Preston (p, org, string synthesizer, bvoc)/Wayne Perkins (gtr)/Robert A. Johnson (gtr; 6.-9.02.)/Jeff Beck (gtr; 6.-9.02.)/Rory Gallagher (gtr; 23.-24.01.)/Mick Ronson (gtr; unconfirmed)/Steve Marriott (gtr).
15a - Melody #1 (6’21) (DAC 088) - Billy Preston on vocals and piano; January 23
15b - Melody #1 (6’20) (reworked) minor sound reduction at the start and end of the track, decelerated by -0,29%
Note: Melody #2 is the Black And Blue-version

16a - Worried About You #1 (7’20) (MF) - Billy Preston piano ‘E minor’ says MJ at 1’40
16b - Worried About You #1 (7’30) (reworked) the first 14 seconds and the last second are from IMP (which is more hissy and lossy but more complete), accelerated by 0,18%
Notes:
Tracks 36a (DAC 088) & 36b on FP 075 are from this session and not 1980 as wrote on FP 075: sorry I do a mistake! Here I chose MF version not so hissy as the DAC one
Worried About You #2 is from a 1980 session (cf. FP 075 tracks 37a & 37b)
Worried About You #3 is the version kept for ‘Tattoo You’

17a - Cellophane Trousers #1 (5’03) (MF) - instrumental (uses Too Tough-riff)
17b - Cellophane Trousers #1 (5’05) (reworked) sound amplification, first seconds from DAC 088 after noise reduction.
18a - Cellophane Trousers #2 (4’58) (DAC 108) - version #1 with additional lead guitar
18b - Cellophane Trousers #2 (4’57) (reworked) accelerated by 0,2%

19a - Hand Of Fate #1 (4’50) (MF) - Wayne Perkins on guitar, Ollie Brown on percussion; early version with partly different lyrics
19b - Hand Of Fate #1 (4’50) (reworked) channel equilibration (+10% to the right), sound amplification, first seconds from DAC 088, decelerated by -0,27%
Note: Hand Of Fate #2 with RW on backing vocals, Wayne Perkins on guitar, Billy Preston on piano, Ollie Brown on percussion is the Black And Blue-version

20a - Hey Negrita #1 (11’24) (MF) – RW on guitar; early version
20b - Hey Negrita #1 (11’24) (reworked) decelerated by -0,16%, minor treble addition, sound amplification in some parts.
Note: Hey Negrita #2 with RW on guitar and backing vocals, Billy Preston on organ, piano and backing vocals; recorded on the 2nd April, is the Black And Blue-version

21a - Hot Stuff #1 (5’04) (DAC 104) - Ollie Brown on cowbell, Harvey Mandel on guitar; with some hardly audible vocals
21b - Hot Stuff #1 (5’08) (reworked) channel equalization (+30% for the right), sound amplification, decelerated by -0,28%
Notes:
Hot Stuff #2 is the Black And Blue-version
Hot Stuff #3 is an edit of the #2

22a - Let's Do It Right #1 (6’23) (DAC 114) - a/k/a Come On Sugar
22b - Let's Do It Right #1 (6’24) (reworked) duplicated
23a - Let's Do It Right #2 (5’33) (DAC 108) - version #1 with different mix (much reverb, etc.)
23b - Let's Do It Right #2 (5’36) (5’33) minor treble addition, decelerated by -0,61% to be synchronized with #1

24a - Memory Motel #1 (7’13) (DAC 104) - Wayne Perkins and Harvey Mandel on guitars, Billy Preston on synthesizer; instrumental, lacking some overdubs
24b - Memory Motel #1 (7’16) (reworked) decelerated by -0,7%, minor noise reduction in the intro.
Note: Memory Motel #2 with RW on backing vocals, Wayne Perkins and Harvey Mandel on guitars, Billy Preston on synthesizer and backing vocals is the Black And Blue-version

25a - Munich Reggae (5’27) (DAC 108) - instrumental (MJ's voice barely audible in the beginning)
25b - Munich Reggae (5’30) (reworked) duplicated, increased the end by reworking the fade out

Part IV°] Recent discovery:

26a - Built That Way #2 (4’43) (Fully Finished) - a/k/a Boogie Jam as instrumental* (that must be accelerated by +2,4%!)
26b - Built That Way (4’43) (reworked) channel equilibration (5% for the left channel), minor treble addition and duplication
Note: * for Built That Way #1 a/k/a Boogie Jam see Part VI

27a - Scarlett #1 (3’39) (Fully Finished)
27b - Scarlett #1 (3’39) (reworked) sound amplification, duplication, decelerated by -0,23% to be synchronized with the GHS bonus track.
Note: Scarlet #2 is the version kept for Goat Head Soup-deluxe version
