yes, there is a slight difference between a pressed CD and a CDR. The pressed CD has more of a "FULL" sound to it while a CDR is somewhat "flat" sounding. If you listen to a pressed CD bootleg and a CDR with your headphones on, you will notice a SLIGHT difference...
After many years of collecting, that is MY OPINION...anything you can pickup as a pressed CD is worth getting...the question is, do you feel like shelling out anywhere from 15-30 bucks for it when you can download it for free, but there is a SLIGHT difference in quality? That is up to the consumer to decide......
Just my 2 cents...
I mostly download boots in FLAC OR SHN. but would pay for a pressed CD if its something I MUST HAVE in that format...
I will give an example of a show that is a MUST HAVE in a pressed CD format...The Brussels Affair 1973 show. That is a GREAT show to have in this format, that is definitely one of the best performances of the Rolling Stones I ever heard!

I totally agree with you malja316. I had been collecting all available shows in silver cds from '72-'73 tours because I'm a huge fan of the Taylor era. Sometimes I prefer to pay, sometimes I prefer to copy, it's an individual choice. Just don't like when a man download a concert free and then put on cdr with new artwork to sell it.
