thanks for the info: any idea of what were the volumes 93 to 198?

"mono sb tapes made by Glyn Johns".

Isn't it rather the late 2019 Abkco leak?

I think that was a typo, since last DAC was no.192 and the new one is 199 the question was about new releases 193-199.

It will be interesting to see if the DAC people did their homework and did not make the same mistake as the Tarantura folks did!
Like giving us half of the Berne show instead of Hamburg!!

Maybe DAC suddenly woke up and found silkcut's 2013 tape from the 1st show in a "drawer"?

Could be the Hezekiahx2/KRW_CO torrent from 2018?
If DAC speed-corrected the music it could be a useful release. And it will be a giant upgrade over the old Tsp cd from the 90's which sounded dreadfully bad [as in "loud and brickwalled" and ran too fast].

this one's a bit easier on the eyes :

Historical important concert. Strange that DAC/VGP never released it before.

Re: New Dog & Cat release

so DAC-198 is a comp of the 2018 and 2019 Abkco Youtube "leaks" plus Tumbling Dice III (hopefully carefully speed-corrected) and a bunch of 1969 tour cuts.

DAC-194 (or 195 or 196) could be the newly circulating 1975-07-27 Detroit tape...?

It could very well be. Because that Detroit show really rocks, much better than the 2nd show in Detroit.

Yes agreed 100% Erik! "A true sensation" though a minor one because it's only a good aud tape.

A VGP release would be welcome as I'm not sure the torrent is perfectly "in pitch" all the way through.

Isn't the "Swingin Pig" in stereo? I have had the silvers for 20 years, allthough I haven't listened to it 19 years. Life is too short - and there's so much great Rolling Stones concerts out there.

I think so. There is a soundboard which is stereo mono and from which the TSP and some other CDs that came out at the same time are made (incl. the unnumbered VGP). It is not fully complete, there are a few small gaps. And there is an older audience recording from which the vinyl double album was made. It is complete.
It is to assume that DAC now uses the soundboard and has filled the gaps with the audience recording.

To my ears, TSP-202 is mono.

There is no left/right separation between instruments.

The only stereo effect is more treeble on a chanel against more bass on the other.

You are right. The soundboard is also only mono. On all releases.

isn't that their staple the last 2 decades?
they should have a different slogan than "original master recording" on their backside: "nothing new, not necessary"
