I heard it through The Crossfire Hurricane
Frankenstein Production n°46
I had the idea to do this compilation when I saw people asking for alternate takes used for the DVD « Crossfire Hurricane »: (Salt Of The Earth, She’s A Rainbow, No expectations and lots of others…..)
I ripped my silver and kept only the musical parts.
I reworked some segments to put the musical parts in relief and reduce some boring noises… a real Frankenstein production, the volume 46!
This compilation is only for crazy people like me because there is lots of talking, noises etc… on the tracks…. but there are great segments: it’s really funny to find the differences… but if you’ll search them you will see that the music used here is often from alternate takes.
Anyway you’re warned it’s a new Frankenstein stuff done with my 2 cents software … but with passion
Of course I added the bonus coming from the show in Münster in 1965
CD1:
PART I: the snippets: selection of short musical segments (15 snippets in 10 minutes!)

* All these alternate takes were used as backing music :
- She's A Rainbow I : unedited backing track without strings, but with choruses, recorded in May 1967
- No Expectations I : nearly finished version with slightly different lyrics; recorded in May or early June 1968
- Salt Of The Earth II :with early (ad lib) vocals by KR; recorded in May 1968
- Moonlight Mile I : instrumental; recorded in October 1970
- Good Time Women I : early version, recorded in March 1970
- Loving Cup II (MJ/KR) -alternate early version, ending with three "alright" screams, recorded probably in July 1971;
- Ventilator Blues I : instrumental rehearsal, recorded probably in July 1971
- Angie I : earlier vocal mix (with additional humming by MJ), no strings, recorded probably in November/December 1972
** “Around And Around” (live in Münster) appears only as bonus in the Japanese version.
