Anybody out there who can either upload or supply information on sound quality on two new ( to me ) bootlegs from Hamburg and Paris?

One is a Coda Publishing ( ? ) release:

the other is from IMP:

The Coda one is part of the Another Time, Another Place box set.

"The Rolling Stones-From Paris To Hamburg 1965" Idol Mind (IMP-N-051) 2-CDs. Paris is from a 2nd or 3rd generation Scotch 207 reel recorded at 7&1/2 inches per second. It's from a Dutch trader, who said he got it from the Radio Television Luxembourg (RTL) archives. Hamburg is from Red Toungue Records (RTR-032). For this double disc, IMP has corrected the pitch and fixed hundreds of mini (barely perceptible) drop-outs. I'll be getting several copies from Japan and am quite happy to trade them. CDrs of live Jones/Taylor period are preferred. Low generation, pre-boot, a plus. Any sort of Taylor/Keef tabs, especially "Sticky Fingers" are much appreciated. Thanks, Dave. email: dwblackvalentine69@gmail.com

Thanks Deltics,
I have Another Time... on my harddisk.
Just compared it to what I got from Hamburg and Paris on DAC;
the Coda/Another Time is not better, might even be a bit worse.

On paper it looks as if the IMP version is a copy of the Coda release;
I will not invest any money in this until I'm proven wrong.
I always get trapped when I read something like best ever quality etc...

To dcba:

that link is already in my first post... smoking smiley

To whom it may concern, it was a joy to listen to both shows again!

Aw sorry! Let me offer an apology by saying that usually the IMP titles are finely carefully remastered so they might be considered as an upgrade over exisiting titles.

Compare the DAC release of the Mocambo shows and IMP's. There's an obvious winner and it's not DAC.

To me it is no crime to overlook something, otherwise I would have been hanged over 100 times already!
