Berkeley – The Keystone – 2nd show
I already got an audience for this show when Jaap send me this soundboard version.
The sound was a little muddy so I decided to try to improv it.
First I make an egalisation and the result is real better, sometimes the sound got intensity variations so I tried to level it.
On track 01 are some little defaults like little gaps coming from the source (see also track 08), I cut them but one remain at 1’27 I cut also others on « Rock Show ».
The biggest problems was on track 08 « Oh Pretty Woman » in particuliar the beginning is full of gaps coming from the source (no digitals problems) but it’s better after 1’15 so I decided to use the non soundboard version for the first 1’15s then I go back to the sdb. It was not finished because at 4’03 appears sound saturation !. So here my mix for this track : 0 to 1’15 : audience then sdb until 4’03 and go back to sdb at 6’06…. And the result is not so bad.
I create an artwork because the one with the files correspond to the « audience version »
I put as bonus,out from the sheet, the initial version of « Oh Pretty Woman » so if some don’t like my mix they can use the original version and this way you can compar without any egalisation and restauration.
Conclusion : A must have to any Mick Taylor fan, some defaults remains but it’s a fantastic show , try « The Stumble » for example and let me know !
