Wanted original sleeve Beat Beat Beat
Posted by: ianstewart65 ()

I found and bought an original german 10 " LP "Beat Beat Beat" from july 1965.

Decca Sonderaugflage 60 368 ( 2,000 pieces were made/ sold)

The LP was withdrawn from sales in 1967.

Unfortunately, the sleeve was not original.

Mission impossible: who has an original sleeve left, but no LP ?????

Let me know ... h.brabers@gmail.com

;-))))

regards
Stu

It's an original 10 "LP with these matrixes.

That's not the issue...

The original Decca sleeve is the gem I'm looking for ;-))

Have you tried Discogs as well as eBay? That's going to be tough, since the sleeves are so thin a lot of them are in VG condition at best. I've never seen one sold without the record. But maybe you'll be lucky. Happy hunting.

If it is a genuine and proven original in very good condition, no rips etc.
then I would consider to pay about 25 euros

My dilemma is that my LP isn't in a very apropriate condition too; (Good max).
But at the end... what's an empty sleeve worth? same dillemma...

let me know

25 euros for a sleeve!!!! ( AND IT MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION ) ?????????
Do not bring me laughing.
This is an expensive 10" LP!!!
Your 10" LP is not worth any Euros without sleeve.
And who has only a sleeve to sell it?
What would you like to give for mine? (Compleet LP + sleeve)
Or maybe sleeve alone (if you pay enough.)
Greets,

If you have a lot of patience wait about 10-20 years when all us collectors are gone or don't care anymore. Then you will find everything dirt cheap, in my opinion. Right now I'm afraid you've insulted some people with a 25 euro offer, and in VG condition. The sleeve is almost more important than the record since it has a unique band picture, and of course the fact it's the only official 10 inch LP (to my knowledge). Excluding Doom And Gloom, because it's a single.

Yes, frankotero, I become 66 within a few mounths!!!
Maybe my son'll sell cheap when I past away!!!
Greets,

I've bought mine (in a shop in Troisdorf) in 1969 when I was in the Belgium Army in Spich, near to Troisdorf Germany.
price +/-8 euros.(nowadays)

Wow, Tioms. That's cool that you've had a copy for so long and the price too! I've had 2 copies, first was around 400 euros, then I traded that one with a lot of great stuff for a better copy. I would say it's VG+ at least, maybe EX at best. Once I had a chance to buy a NM copy for 500 euros but didn't want to have 2 copies again and get stuck with one. It's getting harder to find buyers for top end rarities. I suspect most of us have what we want already and not many (if any) newbie collectors. Hey you'll be on Route 66 for your Birthday? That would be rockingsmiling smiley

Instead of my son a few years ago he did.

no.. guys, ..not asleep, just waiting for a miracle. !

And certainy not waiting for lectures on subjets lik collectioneur's value,

rarities or what people used or wil pay

Things we already all know ;-)

off course it's almost impossible, that's why I posted my desperate eye rolling smiley post

but you never know and look, I've got at least your attention. thanks for that!

First challenge toe find a sleeve.

than the rest. The prices on discogs show that prices above 200 euro's aren't

reasonable anymore, unless in excellent condition ( to my humble opnion).

Thanks anyway and keep posting and above all searching !

ianstewart65, you make a good point. Often I see great deals people get on records I paid a fortune for. That's why I do it for fun and don't expect any return on them. Prices are dropping already and they will fall out by 20 years max (probably even sooner) in my opinion. That means teenage fans (if they really exist) will find UK Decca Promotional LPs for almost free. That's the way I see it.

Hi frankotero,
Your opinion can be true, but the last RSM 1 is sold for: 8989 GBP.(signed)
This is 12.160,00 EURO.
edit post: +/- 2 mounths ago
Good luck with finding one.
I do not need to buy one, I've one: signed RSM 1.

Hi Tioms, that's great you have one. Must be a real treasure for you. I don't have anything on that level myself, but maybe one day will come. On the subject I paid $350 for the first Swedish Chuck Berry EP. I love it and have been searching a while for it. So, as you can see there are still some people paying big prices, it's not over. But it's certainly on the way.
