Ran across this item on eBay. Not sure if it's legit. I've never seen one before.

Picture which is normally inside gatefold is used as cover.

Described as NOT GATEFOLD. Just 2-sided (front & back).

My first thought was that it was a normal gatefold folded backwards to deceive. Or that somehow
the normal album cover was disassembled, cut and reassembled. (??)

Or maybe it simply is legit and rare.

Any help is appreciated,

Never heard of it. I take an interest in everything Satanic Majesties. Is there a catalog number or ebay link? Try to get the catalog number.

ebay auction is over. i've posted all known info and pics.

i shared this on the "Tell ME" side of IORR too...and the most seem to think the original album cover has been taken apart and reconfigured.

But let me know if you have any more info or theories.

I missed buying it..thinking it was something special.
It only sold for $11 so I think people were suspicious.

I asked seller several questions but only responded with "acquired a bunch of records" and and two-sided not gatefold. Not sure if
he lacked info or if he was being evasive.
