Yo MCP, can you tell us all if your "HYDEv4" is your full and final effort for this great project that you started some time ago? I'd like to finalize, safe in the knowledge that this is the full deal. Let us know some time soon.

With the possibility of Hyde Park coming out via the Stones own Archive Series, i don't see the point of trying to improve on it. Let's see what they release first. OK?

and I use better editing software now. As I mentioned, I haven't seen the "Stones Archive" version of Hyde 1969 floating around. I did get the UK and Japanese BluRay.
Can anyone say if the Archive version is better than either of those?

Not trying to complicate matters, but the new soundtrack is in stereo for the first time ever - which does not make it easy to edit missing parts in that are usually in mono. Well, the edits themselves may not be a problem technically, it's more the listening experience mono/stereo/back to mono/back to stereo and so on.

Good point. A suggestion: this problem could be overcome if the missing parts are separated into a "special features" section. MCP - maybe you could have a think about doing this in your (hopefully) v5.

I've already started experimenting using a bluray, not the archive disc, and while there is no way it will be perfect, as far as sound, and for that matter, video, changing quality, it's a fan project. The "real" Granada special will always be the best Hyde Park due to the masters used.
But until they go back and give us all the unedited footage, we'll deal with what we have.
I still want to integrate the complete Stray Cat and No Expectations, and using some silent footage, I've put together a "Loving Cup" segment (though the video has nothing to do with the audio - mostly crowd footage and long distance stage shots), and more "Midnight Rambler".

Actually, it turned out the distant footage was "Sympathy For The Devil", so I've extended that a bit. The clip I thought was "Midnight Rambler" was actually "Satisfaction".
I'm authoring my first attempt now. I wasn't able to sync audio the way I wanted to, but that's ok for now.
