A big thanks to captain acid here is his original info

Hi friends,
this is version 2 - an UPGRADE.On this version i have fixed the azimuth misalignment issue.Tracks sound more clear now, and stereo is better centered. It does sound much better than before, IMHO.

ORIGINAL NOTES:

Hi Stones Fanatics
This is Acid Project Vol 04.I wanted to deal with those outtakes for a long time, and than Midnrambler posted his compilation of outtakes from his silver disc`s, on HC. So i took his compilation as a source ( with his blessing ).Every track was pitch and level corrected and EQ-ed.

Mr.D made another great artwork and also suggested we add Wind Call ( some people claim that song does not belong here, but it is somewhere between GHS and IORNR, and it fits nicely on the end so we have put it here )
January 2012
Captain Acid
Enjoy!

My copy of this file is gone. But Mickboy's Dancing So Free is miles above this in quality. If you want to reply to my email addy associated w/this account I'll send you an upload of my CD of Dancing So Free.

Or I could just upload the momma jomma here. God, I'm a brilliant bastard sometimes!!!

Thank you for the kind offer Heiloobaas but I'm not a fan of Mickboys work.

The Captains work I had previously but lost in a hard drive disaster.

Mickboys stuff is hit and miss, but Dancing So Free is brilliant work. And I'm no MB fan either.

Go grab that brilliant bastards upload before it gets shut down as official...

I've heard Mickboys Goat before and (runs for cover) I may be the only person that doesn't like it.

It did have an exciting sound to it and a lot of the murk was removed, but it just sounded artificial to me. Part of the charm is the murk with Goats Head Soup.
Certain frequencies sound un-naturally pumped.

I'm really only after the alternate versions and outtakes anyways and capt. acid got that stuff covered perfectly.
I think his aim is to correct what's there (speed correction etc) whereas Mickboy aims to improve with heavier equalization etc. Each have their merits.

You only have to run for cover in the TELL ME forum. Here we realize other opinions are quite valid...

"Part of the charm is the murk with Goats Head Soup." That hits the nail on the head! GHS is murky. Just yesterday I was thinking GHS sounds like Exile w/a bad cold! I think I'm going to download Capt. Acid's version of this and compare the two.
