Glastonbury on DVD...?!
Posted by: RoughJusticeOnYa ()

Since it’s widely proclaimed that a high-quality (pro-shot?) DVD boot of the (full?) Glastonbury concert is available, I put the question to all of where I could find it.

Mind you: I’m staying away from all sharebittorrentware.WAV.mp4.megaFLACmega-downloads; I’m looking for somebody who can deliver the actual goods, at a reasonable price.

I know there’s a guy on Shidoobee calling himself Mr.DEEEEEE, but since I don’t have an account on that forum, I can’t contact him.

Anybody able to get me what I’m looking for, or to point me in the right direction?

If there's multiple versions, I'd also love to know which one is (are) considered the very best...

Much appreciated –
smileys with beer

P.S.: I didn’t find anything about this in the ‘buy/sell/Trade’-section here…)

Hmmm ..... seems it would be the best that somebody made a DVD for you from this source or this winking smiley

Here a suitable Artwork.

...I hope so (too); but somehow I doubt it.
Much to my regret, because of them choosing only the Hyde Park concerts for this 'first' "50 & Counting"-box, I don't think Glastonbury will ever see the light of day...
For I think this first box will also be the last, as far as their 2012-2013 performances go.
Jagger is thinking ahead already!

Maybe audio (CD or 'download only'), yes - but no video (DVD / Blue Ray).

Therefore: I'm really aiming for this boot(-s), now.

...Oh well: I just found some decent looking copies on eBay.
Already bought mine.

Thanks anyway!

I just saw on Ebay a new boxset (Wonderland?) of Glastonbury.

You know what I mean, the well-known boxsets with 3 LP's, 2cd's and a dvd.

It looks beautifull, but ofcourse we have all this stuff for free.

hiya, i been busy so not visited lately.

i have a ready to go dvd of the full gig, mastered with a full menu complete with individual song-links to jump to any song or play the whole set, all done & ready to compile to an iso

is it worth making a master then? do people want it?

i also have to get my arse out of gear and up the bol/webvan matrix.

sorry to be tardy, hellish busy recently.

ok, i'll have a look asap, but it wont be hi-def cos it has to fit 2 hours on a single dvd

the bol/webvan mix i listened to again 2 nights ago cos i hadn't for 5 weeks or so. It sounds bloody good imo. (on akg 240df cans) i guess that mix'll do

the problem is you can mix and mix and each one is different but due to the source material you can never really have a definitive 'mix', but you know what they say, a mix is never finished, only abandoned. lol

anyways i have bounced off a single file of the mix, but if i then make a 'cd', of course it means two disks which ruins the continuity if u are listening cos you got to get up and change cd.

is it so important to have actual cd markers etc and seperate files for each song? does anyone actually use cd's any more? I havent for years.

rsvp

Thanks in advance wolfmeister! thumbs up

I still use cds and burn some cds, not all, only the one I like more or the important ones for me. And I like to have separated tracks, but really hate the gaps on live recordings.

well it'd have to be split at the band introductions then i suppose, which would make a natural break in the show. it's more bloody work tho, grrr.

That's a good point to split it in 2 parts.

Anyway, IMHO it has no sence if you don't enjoy the work while doing it!
Relax and enjoy it! And thanks again!

This is a really excellent version for anyone who wants it on silver. As good as it gets unless this is officially released in HD with 5.1 or 7.1 HD audio

There are several available for free on here and elsewhere, including my own here,
I doubt that this one would be any better. Unless you particularly want to pay for a silver (if it is a silver, doesn't say so).

Never said this version would be better then the downloads offered here and yes it is a silver disc as CMR does not review CDr/DVDr titles except on rare occasions.

And I agree that you can get it for free here which is why I said if someone wants a silver disc copy this is an excellent version. I own it and it is fantastic quality.

Some of us still do collect silver discs even if a show can be had for free.
