anyway it's a bloody appalling mix, just aweful. Sounds like whoever did it mixed it on two yogurt pots connected with a bit of string. It nearly ripped my ears off there's so much midrange. also it is rammed to the redline.

My long lost brother!! Seriously you nailed it. The mix is truly one of the worst. How Clearmountain was involved is beyond me. This is 2013 and yet this live album is STILL inferior to Handsome Girls.

The thing that really gets me on this entire tour (both live sound in person and on tv/broadcasts/this-album) is the snare sound. Charlie's snare sounds more like a tom due to very little crack at the top end. In person guitar tones were very good (to me) but this recording just sounds plain thin. Additionally there is simply too much crowd/ambiance and everything is over-compressed to start with. Every single instrument feels like it it fighting against everything else in the mix.

Painful. I listened once, wont ever put it on again. The Stones are great live, but most of us wont be listening to this tour regularly in the years to come.
