In your opinion what are the best clubs shows from the Licks tour in terms of bootleg sound quality. Many thanks.

The first four are great because there was a feeling that anything could happen. After that they seem to get a bit predictable, but still good.

Nothing beats CC versions of Cirkus & Astoria.

The early U.S. theatre shows were the best, partly, as someone else has pointed out, there was a feeling of the unexpected. The quality and surprises tailed-off a little as they reached Europe, but the Circus Krone, Munich theatre show is particularly memorable. I think it was here that we heard the first live rendition of the beautiful Nearness Of You and this take is certainly preferable to the one featured on Live Licks, which I believe is from the Olympia show in Paris, France. According to some, the least favourable theatre show is the London performance at the now now sadly demolished, Astoria.
