Yep, that the delivery had been delayed :-( I guess it will get there when it gets there, no rush ;-)

Yesterday I've been told that the Trabendo-CDs are on their way.

There seems to be a recording of the Mogador as well, hope it'll be shared one day...

That's great news silkcut. Can you tell us more about the mogador recording? Is it IEM or AUD?

Seems to be an IEM but not an excellent one. But who cares as long as we only could have it?

Ok apologies gotablouse - Thought you were stringing us along - I was out of order.

well a show just for the archives, so quality ist not the main issue.

Yeah, I think I'd even take a mono recording done from the restrooms to have a full audio memory of that concert! I'm surprised the usual suspects weren't able to scan the IEM feed, are these maybe digital/encrypted in some cases?

The first copies of the Trabendo show have been delivered!
Kinda "Godfather" lookalike cover.
Stay tuned!

Is it an anonymous release or is it supported by a well-known label (DAC GF etc)?

Not a well-known one.

Do you maybe have a cover or a short sample of the boot you could share?
Where can we order the CD?

Can't confirm this is the real thing but found this on youtube.
I guess with a bit of work audio could be improved greatly.
Obviously recorded from outside the rehearsal as traffic can be heard passing by.

Yeah it's hot/overloaded and it has a rather muffled sound.

Hey 40licks you could have posted the sample at the right speed! The mp3 really drags, it's slooooooooooow!

What? It's how MR was played that night? >grinning smiley<

Re: Paris 25.10.2012

Wrong argument here, MR is the ONE tune where speed is all over the place!

@hobshobs - yeah that's legit but totally unrelated to Trabendo, it was recorded in Bondy during the rehearsals.

@fortylix - Thanks for the sample, so you're saying that's what it sounded like before it was "remastered" ? Not sure how much they could have done to fix it though...

It certainly takes me back there, over saturated sound and people yelling...this could have been recorded close to the front...the "who, who, who's" in the end sound vaguely familiar actually!

Can't believe I'll be back to the Trabendo next week for the BRAD concert, that's going to be spooky...

Thanks for Midnight Rambler!!! I love it! Yeah it's slower, much bluesy, much like the studio version. And it's at right speed... in B! Sometimes in the coke & speed days they played it too fast (like Brussel's version)... I rather like the Leeds version, much sloopy, not too flash, darker... And if you close your eyes you can feel the wind in the field ;OP Could you pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase sample Route 66???? Luv Ya All & Thanks Again! =O)

Thank you very much for the sample. Great to hear that the recording is quite good after all, though being muddy and a little overdriven. A bit of equalization does a huge improvement to the sample.

Let's hope the pro Studio the taper gave it to did a good job.

Is there any chance of getting the complete raw recording now after the boot is out?

Yeah, I just wait a few days, after the boot is spread... That was part of the deal to get the tape.

OT but if that's what the P.A. sounded like that night (muddy and overloaded) I'm beginning to question the validity of playing a secret gig with so little preparation...

Well for your pleasure here is the remastered definitive version of the boot (Midnight Rambler) to compare:

Thanks a bunch, again!

Well that sounds a lot better, a lot "brighter", obviously there's so much that could be done with the saturation, some parts of the spectrum are lost forever...

Again it takes me back there and that's what you want with a live recording right. Just to clarify that there was no actual saturation during the show but it was friggin' LOUD, loudest concert I've ever been to for sure, at least right in the the front, it was totally crazy. No wonder the recording device couldn't cope, my ears were shot for a week...

Not that it really matters but I wonder if this wasn't recorded with a little device stored in a pocket or backpocket, hence the muffled sound of the original recording, the crappy recordings I made of the O2 with my iPhone in my pocket sound a bit like that.

Re: Paris 25.10.2012

I have no idea of de device used to record it.
I guess the taper must have hidden the device because of the security?
I knew that a remastering couldn't improve a lot a bad recording, as I stated earlier in the thread...
It's more of a "souvenir" for those lucky ones who attended this show!
Listenable but not unforgettable for the others...

We have to wait for an official "vault" release! Bring it out!!!
