Newark dec 15 show in HD

Hi,
Like most of you I have downloaded the mp4 file that was available through rollingstones.com link
it's 720p def, the file is only 3.1 Gb which is quite compressed for a HD file.
There is another HD file to download on a torrent site, it's 4.1 Gb but it's the same one. It has been converted from mp4 to mkv.
Does anyone know another torrent site where it is possible to get a bigger and less compressed HD file ?
For the moment, I didn't find any but am still looking for it.
Thanks
J-P

This one is over 5gb, but it's still 720p.

I'm not aware of a 1080p version.

yes novica, it's the same
it would be nice if some American or Norwegian or German fan (not sure if it has been played on a German TV channel ?) could upload it in HD quality (720p is ok with me) but not as compressed as the mp4 file from rollingstones.com
Thanks again
J-P

I also made a dvd out of the HD mp4 file. Mine is DVD9 to avoid too much compression and quality loss.

I downloaded the online mp4 file and the mkv file and the mkv file was a direct capture from PPV TV. It's much better quality to my eyes.

"This is SDH release #905 for the music fans from a music fan. First aired and captured in H264 AVCHD at 8,000 kbps from the 16:9 widescreen 1280 x 720p resolution HD source on 12/15/2012 on the PPV HD channel on DirecTv HDTV Digital Satellite. Framerate is 59.940 with an average Video Bitrate of 6,500 kbps in a High Quality 4.73 GB 720p H264 AVCHD MP4 release with 48khz 384 kbps Dolby Digital AC3 5.1 channel surround sound audio. show runtime is 2 Hours 35 minutes 25 seconds."

Well someone dug out the original link to the feed (sniffed it probably) and you can download it usint Jdownloader for instance, but it's been seeded now so there's no point.

The SDH release is indeed a different source as explained in the release notes, guess our friend didn't read again before jumping to conclusions...eye rolling smiley It also has 5.1 audio. I looked up the average bitrates with mediainfo and it's 3.8Mbps vs 2.8Mbps (or something like that) for the video. On my 47" TV there is a notable difference in quality although admittedly it could be better (as seen on BDrips for instance) but this is live broadcasting. Maybe SDH will put out the full 8000Mbps video at some point but I'm not sure it would make much of a difference.

yes there is a link which gets you to [music.yahoo.com]

it's $4.99 and you can watch the show on your computer

but there is this url which is a mp4 file (Thanks to Irik)

[nlds150.cdnl3nl.neulion.com]

that you can download with VLC player
(Open Network, URL as above, activate Streaming/Saving, Settings File *.mp4 / Dump raw input, Open)

Mr. "jpasc95": There is a simple reason why some people offered others to send them a private message with this link - IT'S OFFICIAL STUFF and should therefore not be posted here on IORR. Many thanks!

I have made a BluRay with menu and chapters of the a.m. 5GB file and on my Plasma TV it looks great. I might get a better version from Japan in full resolution.....the show did air in Germany on Sky and an MKV is floating around....but it's just 3 GB and has an annoying logo in the left corner. The other version looks better...in my opinion.....if anybody is interested in my BluRay.....PM me

The SDH version

yes......

ok, I'm not sure the 1080p would be any better, this was a live broadcast and these days (as opposed to the 2006 World Cup for instance) they prioritize image smoothness (no macroblocking) over image sharpness. SDH's original recording was in 720p too, which is a bit odd since I'm not aware of 720p broadcasts, but again that probably wouldn't make much of a difference.
