I hate to see the uploader has to defend himself using other format and other upload site.
Most of us use windows, but there are also stonesfans using mac or apple.
I am very pleased with this share en hope to solve this 24bit thing.

As for the format there always are solutions, as for the uploadsite, we have to deal with maximum upload sizes, sometimes very small and in this case when you have a premium account up to 5GB.

Teague raw, I say thanks to you and hope the discussions will end.
I look forward to your next projects.

Thanks Rolling On for his solution using dbpoweramp, first to wave and than to Flac16. I do have a free version dbpoweramp. It can be send by email. Feel free to contact me.

Jaap

For all those who have troubles to decompress, try 7zip, it's free and it works very fine, no troubles at all to decompress this big zip file.

To unzip, you can also shorten the names of the tracks.
All info is in the start topic, so you can erase all text about venue and date in the tracknames.
You must open the zip.

1>>Right mouse click on the zip file and choose open.
2>>Open the file you want to see.
3>>Select one track, easy gif two clicks slowly after one other, or press F2.
4>>Erase the text between the songname and ".flac" and press enter after each renaming.
5>>you'll get a screen saying at the top "processing archive"

You'll only have to do so with the longer tracknames.
When done all longer tracks of both cd's go and try extract again, and you'll see this will have solved the extracting problem.

Save the text from the starting topic copy/paste into a text file and save the text file into the folder of this set.

A little time consuming : each track will cost about 20 sec or so.

Jaap

edit:
Just look how many tracks were unziped at the first attempt.
cd 1 tracks 1, 2, 22 and 33 were short enough
do the re-naming only on track 3
Quit the zip program and go to unzip the zipfile.
You'll see track 3 will be exstracted as well.
Than you know this does the trick and go on rename all other tracknames.

good luck.

See unzip instructions above previous message

beware to erase the ":" in the renaming, otherwise the new name will not be accepted.

Sorry, for the decompress problems, I have only zip programm.

For the tracks :

CD2

N°3 Around and Around : I just compares the two versions, this one contains a MJ "wahou !" at 2'01, not on the BBC version. I think you're wrong.

N°8 How Many More Years : tell me more about John's Jam 1972, the date ? (I don't find it here on TCWRS-Dtb 1972)

Thanks, I hope sound is good for you

I just can`t do anything with this. Yes i have downloaded it but can`t re name the files or play them. Shame. After 45 minutes lost in struggle to hear this, i am off.....

p.s. Ah...finally i did it. Converted to wave with Foobar 2000 first and than to flac again.

Thanks, i like the artwork! Although i see no point in sharing this in 24bit.All those tracks were taken from 16bit CD`s in the first place. I understand that you wanted to do remastering in higher resolution, but if it was originally 16bit you can`t upgrade that.

Downloaded the files (went surprisingly well; on the first try and speed between 200 and 300 kbs).
Converted Mac shi.. files to "normal" Flac files for my Windows 7 PC using 7 Zip, renamed the files (01,02,03,....), burned the Flacs directly to two CDs with NERO (had to use overburn while the result was a couple of seconds to long for both discs), listened to them (GREAT stuff BTW), used "Free Rip" to extract the CD files directly to Flac tested a couple of those and they were fine. So, if you want them in this form, you can download them here:

Artwork

CD 1

CD 2

All stored on mediafire, so, unless I'm mistaken, you'll have to download file per file, but you will not need (as far as I know) to use the "captcha" shit they use on other file hosting services.

Enjoy!

tHANKS FOR THE PAIN-STEAKING EFFORTS. Thanks to everyone that shares. I'll be uploading a lot this coming summer (as soon as I figure out how to do it). There are so many audio converts out there AVS was my favorite. I also like "Free Rip" I got on the CNET site. I am so glad to get FLAC!!! Forget CDs and go FLAC. Play at home with VLC Media Player and then play them anywhere with an @#$%& www.@#$%&.com/ . Bayfiles are downloading fine for me.

Be careful using those mediafire links. I got a "virus trap" message. Make sure you use something like "Ctrl-Alt-Delete" to shut down your connection if you get that message. If you click "OK", it can be trouble. I am using a Windows XP PC.

Thanks for posting those FLAC 16 files. I DL'd three of them and they tested OK.

Best Wishes-Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

A couple of hundred people already downloaded hundreds of files from my Mediafire account and you're the first one who has a problem. Anyway, if people get strange messages, they should be smart enough to take appropriate action. (as you suggest for example)

Thanks for warning people, those bastards that have fun making viruses, always try to find something new to annoy us. I really don't know what they get from it (not talking about phishing, Trojans etc).
I have a 9mm bullet ready for the first person I meet who admits that he intentionally spreads viruses. Right through his knee and then breaking all his fingers so he can't work on a PC for a loooooooooong time!

You have to wait.
Leasening 60 bootlegs is long, Remastered all is a long long work too.
You can download volume 1, leasening it, leasening it again and again.
Then, after one or two weeks, it's time to heard a second volume.
1963/64 Studio Outtakes don't have a week, you can hear it again before the others.
Look at IORR sometimes you may find new remastered outtakes. winking smiley
