one maybe should say that it was mainly the SBD mix that ruined
the songs, it wasnt only preston's fault ;-)

How could an audience be better than a soundboard?

SOUL

It happens often : most true SB tapes ( = made by the soundman during the show and "mixed" on the fly) have a faulty balance of instruments.

Also there are a good few SBs where you can't hardly hear the audience at all...to me these lack atmosphere.....and afterall a live show is about two things, the band and the audience response, that makes the whole experience.....imo anyway........

I totally agree with you!

Yes indeed they do.
Paris June 6th is not a prime example - as it's somewhat good. But it's still not as good as the June 6th 1976 AUDIENCE source (IMO) - at all. (having heard a sample track from the AUD tape source)

Falo or me will upload the June 6th tape, as soon as Falo recieves it. Many thanks to him

When it comes to the June 4th upgrade (hopefully an upgrade); this will be shared at DIME, sooner or later; by an uploader who's not a member of IORR. Don't know when.

As for the other tape, iirc the guy who owns it and the one who owns the Nakamichi tape deck are separated by several hundred kils so thye see each others only a few times every year...

"would it be possible to have it posted here"

Which version you want? There are already THREE available! grinning smiley
The raw tape
Falo's version (dehissed)
Gile's one (total rework).

Is it the same which now is posted on Guitars 101 with the following description:
"The Rolling Stones - 1976-06-06 - Paris, FR
(Audience FLAC)

COMMENTS:
And now over to a real treat, which we have been waiting for, for 6 months
Many thanks to Falo and Werner, for digging up this tape
It features an excellent audience recording of Rolling Stones in Paris June 6th 1976
IMO, the SBD recording from this show is quite dull sounding. But this audience recording is not !
Falo has included both the raw (hissy) tape, and a remaster of his. So this torrent features 4 discs of music (...)
analog tape, low gen from the 80s > denon DRM 540 > Cool Edit Pro > wav > flac
denoising & EQing done with CoolEdit Pro"

I have yet to torrent them (my comp is "ill" ) but I'd go with the raw untouched transfer (I can speed-correct it myself).

I have allready torrented it at Hungercity

Of course it's not allowed at DIME ! What kind of question is that...!?

By the way; are you the person that shared Pontiac 1981 on TTD, 3-4 years ago; a torrent that was banned ? If so; I really would like to talk to you through PM. How can I reach you ?

"Does the raw tape is the infamous freddy hausser's uncirculated tape ??? Just wonderin' "

I don't know (I have yet to get this one) but acc. to comments that followed the posting of the torrent it's definitely an amateur/private recording... so it wouldn't be the FH recording.
FH's dead now, his son died long ago from drug related issues so I wonder what happened to his archives... (poubelle?)

the raw Freddy Hausser tape from the june 06 show (video with soundboard sound) circulates in VHS format since 1985. The first released 2CD-set from this tape was "Les Abattoirs Paris 1976" (Speeder Ball Records - SBC002) released 1990 and soon copied by TSP as "Paris Aux Printemps" with an additional audience recording of "Cherry Oh Baby" from June 07.

the "newly discovered" audience tape is the same tape that circulate since ever. it sounds like a low generation and I have to check it with my own copy that I got in 1979.

yes indeed, it´s not new at all. it´s just that it hasn´t circulated online yet
and therefore is unknown to most collectors.

Yes I knew that, but it was a mix of all the shows when it has been broadcasted
on Antenne 2 french TV, in 1976.

1.HTW Paris June 4
2.Hand of fate June 6
3.Fool to cry June 7
4.Hot Stuff June 7
5.Star @#$%& June 6
6.Angie June 4
7.Tumbling Dice June 7
8.Outa Space June 7
9.Midnight Rambler June 7
10.JJF June 6
11.SFM June 6

I just want to point , that the real uncirculated tapes of Freddy Hausser to my knowledge have never seen the light of the day...

Wasn't there a video from June 5 (or was it 4?) that is not circulating? The owner wanted a lot of money for the file. Did it ever show up?

Yes there was a video of the June 5th show. No it hasn't shown up.....but maybe somebody bought it. If so, they haven't circulated it
