The list is focused on what's available on CD (at least to my knowledge).

I included bootlegs as many of these tracks remain officially uncompiled.

A few comments :
Post 1994 tracks are not that hard to find. Most of these CD singles can be found easely on the web and generally for cheap price. Promo singles are more rare though.

About the 70's and 80's tracks it can be more tricky. A good start would be Collectibles/Collectors' Editon CD and Rarities CD.

Finally I think that most bootlegs cited here are available on iorr forums.
Mecca releases are worth acquiring as they have most of - if not all - the 80's remixes.

I think the US version of "Street Fighting Man" differed a little bit from "BB".
Will have to check if it appeard on any cd-release, maybe anyone knows?

They are the same edits, but they were remixed/remastered for the CD re-release.

So the CBS release has the original promo version I guess.

According to him only Beast Of Burden seems to be the original promo version.

Zentgraf is awesome, but this is a case where he does not explain very thoroughly about these edits, or "mixes." All the edits here are available on promo 45 rpms - I do not have the catalog numbers, but I know someone who has the actual 45s. Aeppli does not list them either (yet, buy maybe soon). I listen to the vinyl rips and they are essentially the same as the SITS LP/CD. And although I did not do a side-by-side comparison of the original tracks, I beleive they are only edits of them, and not vastly different "remixes." Bottom line: SITS is the best and most available source for these alternate tracks.

After some researches on the web I must say I agree with you.

Hot Stuff - edited version was originally available on US 7" promo single (#RS 19304) and also on a French 7" single (#RS 19123). Both have a 3:26min version which is close to the 3:30min version on Sucking in the Seventies.

Fool To Cry - edited version was originally available on US 7" promo single #RS 19304. It's a 3:59min edit according to the web sites. Again close to the 4:07min of SITS...

I couldn't find any edited version of Crazy Mama though. Maybe that one was specifically made for SITS.

nice list! ... and not sure if you are trying to list every place a song has been released, but I believe Jump On Top Of Me was also on the Hope Floats soundtrack.

Jump On Top Of Me is on Robert Altman's Pret-a-porter movie soundtrack.

On Hope Floats soundtrack you will find the remake of Honest I Do (an outtake from Stripped sessions).

Is it different (ok, mono it is) to the LP track or "only" a fade out. Thanks a lot!!!

I think it is just a earlier fade. I haven't listened to it closely enough to compare. Email me and I can provide more info.

Can you tell us if it's the same fade out as the edited version on Forty Licks (fades out at 4:10 min).

It´s safe to say that the 7" promo version is not a fade out of the LP version.
